Accordingly, the following qualifications and interests are highly desirable for this project:\nStrong interest in high-speed signals and signal integrity.\n\nWillingness to work with:\n\nReal-time oscilloscope waveform data\n\nHigh-bandwidth voltage probes\n\nCurrent probes\n\nTest fixtures\n\nAbility to:\n\nUnderstand automotive communication standards from technical specifications.\n\nValidate performance using the oscilloscope's protocol decoder, rather than relying solely on eye-diagram metrics.\n\nDesign controlled experiments and document negative as well as positive results.\n\nMaintain comprehensive documentation throughout the project, including justification for all selected constants and parameters.\n\nPrior project experience involving:\n\nSignal processing\n\nMeasurement or laboratory-based research\n\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nElectrical Engineering major (Senior undergraduate, Master's, or PhD student preferred).\n\nStrong understanding of:\n\nDigital Communications, or equivalent knowledge of PAM signaling, scramblers, equalization (FFE/DFE), timing recovery, and eye-diagram analysis.\n\nLinear algebra, including least-squares methods, regularization techniques (Ridge/Tikhonov), and condition numbers.\n\nProficiency with:\n\nPython and MATLAB, as well as at least one compiled programming language (C# or C++), as the next phase of the project involves porting the prototype to C#.\n\nCompletion of, or demonstrated proficiency in:\n\nSignals and Systems\n\nDigital Signal Processing (DSP)\n\nFoundational knowledge of:\n\nFFTs, filtering, and time- and frequency-domain analysis.\n\nWillingness to work at the Keysight Colorado Springs, CO site.\n\nExposure to wired PHY-layer technologies (e.g., Automotive Ethernet, 1000BASE-T, PCIe), the Keysight Infiniium framework or oscilloscope automation, Wireshark or Scapy, and experience interpreting IEEE standards will be considered an advantage.\n\nCO pay range - Min $38.09 to Max $41.02\nThe level of role will be based on applicable experience, education and skills; most offers will be between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range.\nRelocation is available for this position.\nVisa Sponsorship is not available for this position.\nCareers Privacy Statement ***Keysight is an Equal Opportunity Employer.***\nThe candidate will be expected to contribute to a Signal Separation Project focused on Automotive Ethernet Full Duplex Standards.
