In this role, you will work hands-on at the intersection of software and hardware -building prototypes, GUI development, test automation, and software debugging with direct hardware testing.\nResponsibilities\n Software Prototyping & GUI Development: Build functional software prototypes and user-friendly Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) to control, monitor, and interface with underlying hardware systems.\nHands-on Software-Hardware Debugging: Test software-hardware integration, identify defects and bugs for fixes.\nAutomation Scripting: Translate manual hardware testing procedures into repeatable automated test scripts.\nEngineering Support: Support other ongoing development efforts.\nAgile & DevOps Workflow: Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, pull requests and standard DevOps workflows across both Windows and Linux environments.\nIntern Project: Take end-to-end ownership of a dedicated project-applying software design, testing, and technology integration principles from initial concept to final presentation.\nQualifications\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\nProgramming proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Python, C/C++, and C#.\nExposure to hardware drivers and low-level hardware-to-software communication interfaces (e.g., serial protocols, bus interfaces).\nExperience with desktop GUI frameworks (e.g., PyQt6 for Python, Qt for C++, or WPF/.NET for C#).\nBasic understanding of fundamental encryption concepts and data security principles.\nStrong desire and willingness to learn the detailed operational mechanics of GPS/GNSS technologies and positional data systems.\nPractical understanding of the Agile software development lifecycle and core DevOps principles.\nWorking knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems.\nWillingness to perform hands-on hardware testing
