Eggplant’s Fusion Engine team maintains Eggplant’s test automation engine, allowing our customers to test any system through the eyes of a human.\nAbout the Job:\nWe are seeking an experienced Software Engineer who is passionate about creating world-class software. We are building the next-generation, AI-driven test automation engine for our software quality engineering platform. The successful candidate will help build the automation engine which allows our customers to test end-to-end workflows on complex, mission-critical systems.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, expand and maintain new capabilities for the Eggplant Fusion Engine.\n\nWork as a Software Engineer alongside other highly skilled, cross-discipline team members to deliver the team’s goals consistently on schedule and on quality.\n\nWork with the Team Lead and Product Owner to ensure that new features work as expected, in a way that provides value to the customer.\n\nEnsure products and components integrate well to provide a platform for an exceptional user experience.\n\nHelp to determine the best technologies and strategies to use.\n\nBring curiosity to the design and delivery of product enhancements and new innovative solutions.\n\nProvide input to the design and development process to improve testability, quality and user experience.\n\nIdentify and raise issue reports for bugs.\n\nQualifications\nMaster’s degree in Computer science or equivalent through experience.\n\nMinimum 5 years of experience in a software development role.\n\nKnowledge of OOP, design patterns and coding best practices.\n\nGood design and problem-solving skills.\n\nStrong knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: Objective C, C/C++, or C#.\n\nSolid knowledge of AI, Agile, Lean and XP development practices\n\nDesired Qualifications:\nExperience with near real-time image and video processing and computer vision.\n\nExperience with text detection and optical character recognition (OCR) technologies.\n\nExperience with AI technologies, including Large Vision Models, Large Language Models, and agentic development.\n\nExperience with analyzing and implementing low-level protocols, such as VNC (RFB).\n\nExperience with VS Code and the Debug Adapter Protocol (DAP) is a plus.\n\nExperience with Conan and containers.\n\nExperience working in product teams that build commercial of the shelf (COTS) software for the enterprise market.\n\nExperience using GitHub Actions or GitLab for build pipelines\n\nExperience of continuous
