The intern will work alongside experienced engineers on projects selected based on current team needs, technical background, and demonstrated skill level.\nResponsibilities\nDepending on project assignments, responsibilities may include:\nAssist with software development, enhancements, and bug fixes.\nPerform software and system testing, including data collection and verification of software behavior.\nAssist with bug investigations by reproducing issues, analyzing software behavior, documenting findings, and verifying fixes.\nRead, understand, and modify existing software with guidance from experienced engineers.\nCreate and maintain engineering documentation, including test results, procedures, software changes, and technical findings.\nPotentially work with software that interfaces with hardware, test equipment, or other system components.\nWork on a combination of defined engineering tasks and small projects, with scope and complexity based on experience and demonstrated capabilities.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.\nIntermediate proficiency in both C and C++, demonstrated through coursework, academic projects, personal projects, or previous work experience.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate technical problems and develop practical solutions.\nAbility to clearly communicate technical information and document engineering work.\nAbility to work collaboratively with other engineers, ask questions, and incorporate feedback.\nWillingness to learn unfamiliar software, tools, technologies, and existing codebases.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience debugging software, including reproducing issues, using debugging tools, and analyzing program behavior.\nExperience reading, understanding, and modifying an existing or unfamiliar codebase.\nExperience with Windows desktop UI development or frameworks such as MFC, WinForms, WPF, or Qt.\nExperience developing and debugging software using Microsoft Visual Studio in a Windows environment.\nDemonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with appropriate guidance.\nNice to Have\nFamiliarity with C#.\nFamiliarity with Git or another source control system.\nBasic knowledge of networking concepts or hardware/software interfaces.\nExposure to software or system testing, including executing test cases and documenting results.\nThe level of role will be based on applicable experience, education and skills. Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the salary listed below.
