Keysight is hiring a Solution Engineer to join our Network and Application/Security (NAS) test team in Santa Clara.\nAs a Solution Engineer, you will learn to design and deliver technical solutions across Keysight's NAS test portfolio, working alongside experienced engineers who will mentor you through your first year. Our customers are the companies building the world's largest networks: hyperscale data center operators, cloud providers, and network equipment manufacturers. You will help them validate the networks that carry AI training workloads, cloud services, and global internet traffic.\nThis is a hands-on, customer-facing role. You will spend time in the lab building test topologies, and time with customers demonstrating how our solutions solve their validation challenges. We are looking for curiosity, strong fundamentals, and a genuine interest in networking. We will teach you the rest.\nWhat You Will Do\nLearn Keysight's NAS test portfolio and build hands-on expertise with our test platforms, including AI data center test solutions.\nBuild and maintain lab test topologies, running protocol and performance validation under the guidance of senior engineers.\nSupport product demonstrations and proof-of-concept efforts for customers, taking on more ownership as you ramp.\nParticipate in customer meetings and technical discussions, learning how to translate customer requirements into test solutions.\nWrite Python scripts to automate test execution, data collection, and reporting.\nHelp troubleshoot technical issues during customer evaluations, escalating to senior engineers as needed.\nDevelop demonstration materials and customer training content.\nLearn the fundamentals of AI/ML back-end network fabrics, including RoCEv2/RDMA, lossless Ethernet (PFC, ECN, DCQCN), and GPU cluster validation.\nStay current on networking protocols, AI fabric technologies, and test automation practices.\nShare customer feedback with our Engineering and Product Management teams.\nResponsibilities\nWhat We Are Looking For:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, completed within the last 12 months or graduating by the start date.\nCoursework or project experience in computer networks, covering TCP/IP fundamentals and Ethernet.\nWorking knowledge of Python, demonstrated through coursework, internships, or personal projects.\nComfort working hands-on with hardware in a lab environment.\nStrong communication skills and genuine interest in a customer-facing technical role.\nCuriosity, coachability, and a team-first approach.\nAbility to travel up to 30% of work time.\nMust be a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. export control regulations.\nQualifications\n Desired:\nInternship, co-op, research, or military experience in networking, systems, or test engineering.\nExposure to routing and data center protocols such as BGP, OSPF, VxLAN, or EVPN, in coursework or lab settings.\nNetwork certification such as CCNA (or in progress).\nFamiliarity with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, or public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).\nExperience with packet analysis tools such as Wireshark.\nAwareness of AI/ML data center networking concepts: RoCEv2/RDMA, congestion control, GPU cluster fabrics, or collective communication such as NCCL.\nExperience with REST APIs or test automation frameworks.\nLeadership in student organizations, hackathons, or technical competitions.\nWhat You Will Gain\nStructured onboarding and mentorship from senior Solution Engineers.\nHands-on experience with the industry's leading network test platforms, including AresONE 1600GE and Keysight AI Data Center Builder.\nDirect exposure to the engineers building AI and cloud infrastructure at the world's largest technology companies.\nA defined growth path from Associate to Advanced Solution Engineer.\nPay Range:\nUSD $137,190.00 -
