In this position you will be working with cross-functional technical teams to solve complex design challenges and bring products to market. You will partner with Product Management, Industry Solution Teams (IST), Application Engineers, and customers to translate requirements into design decisions, working at the intersection of hardware, software, calibration, and verification to ensure new products come together as a cohesive, high-performing system.\nYour primary job responsibilities include working with a multi-discipline team spanning R&D, Product Management, NPI/OF, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support to:\nWork with Product Management, Industry Solution Teams (IST), Application Engineers, and customers to understand requirements and determine how they impact the design, implementation, manufacturability, and serviceability of the product.\nTake an active role in the cross functional design of the product to ensure successful system integration of hardware, software, calibration, and verification elements.\nWork with software and New Product Introduction (NPI) and Order Fulfillment (OF) teams to define and implement hardware control, calibration, and alignment algorithms.\nDefine test criteria and work with NPI/OF to ensure characterization of the product is complete and that required specifications are achieved.\nDocument designs including the design goals, the core concepts of the design, the theory of operation, the details of the design, and troubleshooting techniques.\nRemain engaged with the product throughout its lifecycle to assist ISTs, Application Engineers, Marketing, Support, and Customers in ensuring successful adoption of the product in our target market.\nFor locations hired outside of Santa Rosa there will be travel required to Santa Rosa CA for training and collaboration through project lifecycles.\nQualifications\nRequired Skills:\nBS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science.\n10+ years of experience in a combination of the following disciplines: RF design, Digital design Software/firmware design, Hardware control/correction, System Verification.\nExperience leading other engineers on complex technical projects\nAbility to work across a wide range of product development functions.\nExpertise in RF measurement techniques, algorithms, and metrology.\nDeep knowledge of test equipment, RF block diagrams, and how design decisions impact critical specifications.\nComfortable participating in customer engagements.\nDesired Skills:\nExperience with (C/C++/C#/Java/Python/Perl/Tcl).\nProficiency in scripting/software environments for automated validation and simulation\nProficiency in RF simulation and signal processing tools: ADS, SystemVue, MATLAB, etc.\nMeasurement experience in one or more of the following areas: signal analyzers, signal generators, I/Q modulation and demodulation, phase noise measurements, and vector network analysis.\nThis position requires access to certain goods, software, technology, or technical data subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations.
