Our ~15,000 employees create world-class solutions in communications, 5G, automotive, energy, quantum, aerospace, defense, and semiconductor markets for customers in over 100 countries. Learn more about what we do.\nOur award-winning culture embraces a bold vision of where technology can take us and a passion for tackling challenging problems with industry-first solutions. We believe that when people feel a sense of belonging, they can be more creative, innovative, and thrive at all points in their careers.\nJoin us in beautiful Sonoma County amongst vineyards, redwood forests, rivers, lakes and coastline while working on passive thin film devices that enable competitive differentiation of Keysight’s industry-leading RF, microwave, and high bit rate instruments.\nThin Film Process Engineers develop and sustain micro-fabrication technologies for Keysight’s portfolio of passive RF devices including transmission lines, filters, resistors, capacitors, inductors, and resistive networks.\nThin Film Process Engineers typically begin by specializing in a core process area such as lithography, electroplating, dry etch, wet etch, deposition, electrical test, laser ablation, or saw separation. While working on hands-on projects in your core process area, you will learn how thin film products are built and how different fabrication processes are integrated. As your expertise grows, you will collaborate more broadly with designers, planners, and external suppliers to support Keysight’s entire thin film supply chain.\nResponsibilities\nYou will join a dynamic team that develops, fabricates and tests advanced thin film circuits. Your responsibilities include:\nOwning one or more of the following process areas: lithography, electroplating, dry etch, wet etch\nMonitoring manufacturing processes and implementing solutions to address process failures\nInvestigating product non-conformances and conducting root cause analyses\nProviding the operations team with clear work instructions and technical support to manufacture products on time and on budget\nGuiding new thin film designs from conception through prototyping and into production\nDeveloping new processes to improve yield, enhance capability, or streamline workflow\nIdentifying and qualifying capital equipment to support business continuity or new manufacturing capabilities\nQualifications\nRequired:\nB.S. in Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent technical discipline\n2+years' experience in lithography, electroplating, dry etch, wet etch, deposition, electrical test, laser ablation, or saw separation\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with engineers, manufacturing and maintenance technicians, planners, internal customers, and external vendors\nIntrinsic motivation to meet aggressive product development schedules and manufacturing targets\nSound decision-making skills to balance tradeoffs among competing stakeholder requirements\nAbility to synthesize and analyze data from disparate sources to draw practical, data-driven conclusions\nCreative problem-solving skills to maximize available resources\nDesired:\nDirect experience in legacy fab with manually operated tools and limited automation\nIndustry experience developing and sustaining thin film or related micro-fabrication processes\nFamiliar with metrology and measurement techniques to characterize thin films\nCandidates must be local or willing to relocate to Santa Rosa, CA\nThis position requires access to certain goods, software, technology, or technical data subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations.
