You are expected to own analytical workstreams, adapt quickly across complex business problems, and synthesize insights for high-stakes decision-making.\nYour education and background may lean towards one of our practice areas in Finance, Economics, Tax and Securities (FETS) or Antitrust & Competition. Keystone teams are interdisciplinary, and you will work across a wide range of problems and practice areas.\nWith a background in Finance, Economics, Tax and Securities (FETS), you focus on financial valuation and market-based analyses, often in litigation, transaction, or strategy contexts. You are expected to bring strong financial intuition alongside rigorous quantitative execution.\nCandidates with an accounting background bring technical expertise that complements our economic and financial analyses. You will apply your knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and financial statement analysis to support valuation, damages, and litigation engagements. This work directly supports expert opinions and case outcomes.\nThis role is ideal for CPAs seeking to apply their accounting expertise to complex valuation, litigation, and strategic consulting engagements in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.\nDuring the interview process, we assess your ability to apply your core skillset to unfamiliar questions and operate effectively outside your primary area of focus.\nFinal leveling is determined by education, prior experience, and interview performance.\nKey Responsibilities\nFinancial & Accounting Analysis\nOwn analytical workstreams involving financial statement analysis, valuation support, and accounting-based analyses.\nAnalyze financial statements, accounting records, SEC filings, and supporting documentation to identify key accounting and business issues.\nEvaluate accounting policies, including revenue recognition, accruals, reserves, and financial disclosures to support litigation, valuation, and strategic consulting engagements.\nPartner with economists and consultants to interpret accounting information and incorporate financial insights into client deliverables and expert analyses.\nSupport business valuation, damages analyses, and other financial analyses through rigorous accounting and financial assessment.\nResearch\nConduct structured research across accounting, economic, industry, policy, and technology domains to inform analysis and case strategy.\nReview accounting guidance, academic literature, policy documents, technical materials, and public filings to support analytical assumptions.\nSynthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs to inform hypotheses and analytical direction.\nReport Writing\nTranslate analytical findings into clear, well-structured written narratives for internal and client-facing materials.\nDraft sections of memoranda, reports, and presentations that explain methodology, results, and implications.\nCreate clear exhibits (tables, charts, and figures) that communicate complex accounting and financial concepts succinctly.\nWhat You'll Bring\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a closely related field from a top university (target GPA 3.6+).\nCPA designation required.\n 3-4+ years of experience in public accounting, preferably with a Big Four or nationally recognized accounting firm.\nAudit experience strongly preferred.\nExperience in valuation, transfer pricing, litigation support, or forensic accounting is a plus.\nValuation credentials (e.g., ABV, CVA, ASA, or similar) are preferred but not required.\nEvidence of academic or leadership excellence (e.g., honors, Dean's List, leadership roles).\nAnalytical Skills\nStrong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.\nDeep understanding of financial reporting, U.S. GAAP, and financial statement analysis.\nAbility to review complex financial records and identify accounting issues relevant to valuation and litigation analyses.\nAdvanced Excel skills; experience with financial modeling is preferred.\nExperience with analytical tools (e.g., Excel, Python, R, or Stata) is a plus.\nSolid business intuition and interest in solving complex client problems.\nCommunication & Mindset\nClear, structured communicator with strong writing and synthesis skills.\nDemonstrated ability to articulate personal strengths (\"spikes\") and learning trajectory.\nCoachable, growth-oriented, and motivated to develop quickly in a demanding environment.\nClear interest in litigation consulting and Keystone.\nAbility to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams of economists, accountants, and consultants.\nIn addition to annual salary, we provide an annual discretionary bonus, 401k contribution, and competitive benefits package.
