You will work closely with Human Resources, Accounting, Operations, and company leadership to maintain accurate payroll records, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance across our construction projects.\nThe ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable independently managing weekly payroll in a fast-paced, project-based environment.\nResponsibilities\nManage and process weekly payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payments.\n\nReview employee time records, approvals, wage calculations, overtime, travel time, per diem, bonuses, and other earnings.\nAdminister federal Davis-Bacon and state prevailing wage payroll requirements for applicable construction projects.\nReview wage determinations, labor classifications, overtime calculations, and fringe benefit requirements.\nPrepare, review, and submit certified payroll reports in accordance with federal, state, and project-specific requirements.\nMaintain accurate payroll records and documentation to support regulatory compliance and audits.\nReview and reconcile payroll reports, identify discrepancies, and process necessary corrections or adjustments.\nCoordinate with Human Resources on new hires, terminations, pay changes, direct deposits, tax withholding, and benefit deductions.\nAdminister garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other payroll deductions.\nCoordinate with payroll providers on payroll tax filings, payments, and year-end reporting, including W-2 processing.\nRespond to employee payroll questions and resolve pay-related issues in a timely and professional manner.\nPartner with Accounting, HR, and Operations to improve payroll accuracy, processes, and overall efficiency.\nEnsure compliance with applicable wage and hour laws, company policies, and payroll regulations.\nMaintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.\nRequirements\nAssociate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.\nMinimum 3 years of payroll processing experience, including independently managing payroll operations.\nRequired experience with Davis-Bacon, prevailing wage compliance, and certified payroll reporting.\nStrong knowledge of wage determinations, labor classifications, overtime requirements, and fringe benefit calculations.\nWorking knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and wage and hour laws.\nExperience with payroll systems, timekeeping software, and payroll reconciliations.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nExceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict payroll deadlines.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious payroll experience within construction, renewable energy, EPC, utilities, or field service industries.\nExperience processing multi-state payroll.\nExperience with payroll tax reporting, benefit deductions, and general ledger reconciliations.\nExperience supporting payroll
