This role is designed for someone who combines structured consulting judgment with hands-on fluency in agentic AI systems, modern technology architecture, and rigorous analytical problem-solving. \nAbout the Engagement Manager - Data & AI Strategy Role \nThis role will work at the intersection of strategy, technology, and execution. You will scope ambiguous business problems, develop testable hypotheses, conduct rigorous analysis, and translate findings into clear client-ready recommendations. Just as importantly, you will operate as a builder: using, managing, and improving AI agents as part of the delivery team to accelerate workflows, raise quality, and create tangible client value. \nThis is not a traditional strategy consulting role with AI as an additionaltopic. Success requires being AI-native and high comfort working directly with AI tools, managing human-in-the-loop workflows, and partnering with technical and non-technical stakeholders to prototype and operationalize AI-enabled solutions. \nKey Responsibilities \nDrive AI-Native Strategy Work \nStructure ambiguous client problems into clear workplans, hypotheses, analyses, and recommendations.\nConduct independent research, market analysis, technology landscape assessments, and competitive benchmarking.\nSynthesize complex findings into crisp narratives for client executives, technical teams, and internal leadership.\nHelp identify high-impact AI use cases and translate them into pragmatic execution roadmaps. \nManage AI Agents as Part of the Delivery Team \nUse agentic AI systems to complete and accelerate core consulting workflows, including research, synthesis, analysis, drafting, QA, and knowledge management.\nManage AI agents for quality, integration, human-in-the-loop review, and optimal contribution to project outcomes.\nDesign repeatable AI-enabled workflows that improve speed, rigor, and client value.\nEvaluate outputs critically and maintain high standards for accuracy, judgment, and confidentiality. \nBuild, Prototype, and Implement \nWork directly with AI tools rather than only advising from a distance.\nPrototype solutions, prompts, workflows, and light technical approaches alongside clients and internal teams.\nPartner with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand feasibility, constraints, and implementation paths.\nBring a practical understanding of cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, LLM integration, and enterprise software ecosystems to client work. \nOwn Client-Ready Deliverables \nPrepare high-quality analyses, memos, presentations, and executive communications.\nManage discrete workstreams with strong ownership, judgment, and attention to detail.\nContribute to client meetings and workshops with clear communication and structured thinking.\nOperate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where priorities evolve quickly. \nWhat You’ll Bring \nRequired \n5+ years' experience in strategy consulting, business strategy, AI strategy, product strategy, technology strategy, or similarly rigorous analytical project work.\nHigh level of comfort using AI tools and agentic workflows directly in professional work, including tasking agents, reviewing outputs, identifying gaps, and improving workflow quality.\nAbility to evaluate AI-assisted outputs for quality, accuracy, business relevance, and client readiness.\nProven ability to translate research, expert input, client context, and AI-generated outputs into polished client-facing materials.\nPractical understanding of how business processes can be broken down, documented, and redesigned for AI-enabled delivery.\nProven builder orientation: willingness to roll up sleeves, use tools directly, prototype workflows, and implement practical solutions with clients.\nWorking fluency in modern AI and enterprise technology architecture, including cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, enterprise software, and LLM integration.\nExceptional structured problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills, including rigorous research, market analysis, and technology landscape assessment.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nAdaptability, resilience, and ownership in fast-paced client-service environments. \nPreferred \nPrior experience at a top-tier consulting firm, AI-native company, technology company, or high-growth product environment.\nExperience supporting AI transformation, workflow automation, knowledge management, or enterprise AI adoption initiatives.\nFamiliarity with prompt engineering, AI evaluation, RAG workflows, data governance, or responsible AI practices.\nExperience working directly with senior clients or cross-functional executive stakeholders.\nExposure to economics, litigation, regulatory, financial services, legal, or other complex analytical domains. \nWhat Sets You Apart \nExceptional intellectual horsepower and structured judgment.\nBias toward building, testing, and improving rather than producing theoretical recommendations only.\nHigh standards for quality, precision, and ownership.\nAbility to move fluidly between strategy, technology, analysis, and client communication.\nIntellectual curiosity about how AI changes business models, workflows, and competitive dynamics. \nWhy Join Us\nHelp build an AI-native advisory capability inside a premier economics, technology, and strategy consulting firm.\nWork on complex, high-stakes client problems where AI can materially change outcomes.\nOperate with exceptional colleagues across technology, economics, management science, and strategy.\nDevelop rapidly in a team that values ownership, rigor, and practical innovation. \nAt Keystone we believe diversity matters.
