These opportunities can be located in either Malaysia or Indonesia.\nKeywords Studios is a global leader providing art services to AAA Publishers. Our work can be seen across many of the top-selling titles on console and PC. We've secured an exciting AAA IP project and are anticipating further project announcements early in 2026.\nAt Keywords Studios, we are looking for an accomplished, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Environment Artist to join our team working on an exciting, new, and unannounced project.\nThis position may be offered as either a permanent or fixed-term contract role, depending on the project's requirements, business needs, and the candidate's experience and level.\nOnly those with relevant working rights for Malaysia and Indonesia will be considered. Sponsorship and relocation are not being offered as part of this package.\nAn Environment Artist at Keywords Studios:\nCreates high-quality environment art with a strong emphasis on lighting, mood, and atmosphere.\nBuilds, iterates, and optimises lighting setups that support gameplay, narrative, and artistic direction.\nCollaborates closely with art direction, level design, and tech art to ensure lighting enhances spatial readability and performance.\nAuthors and maintains lighting passes, post-processing profiles, and environment shaders/materials as needed.\nTroubleshoots lighting issues related to performance, consistency, or technical constraints across platforms.\nContributes to visual benchmarks and helps establish best practices for lighting workflows.\nRequirements\nProven experience as a stylized Environment Artist on a high-quality mobile game projects.\nStrong portfolio demonstrating lighting, composition, and environment art fundamentals.\nProficiency with modern game engines (Unreal, Unity or proprietary engines).\nSolid understanding of lighting theory, color, exposure, and real-time rendering.\nExperience with PBR workflows and optimization for real-time environments.\nAbility to work collaboratively across disciplines and iterate quickly based on feedback.\nExperience with lighting tools, profiling/debugging, or scripting for workflow automation.\nBenefits\nOur Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Commitment: Keywords Studios is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, ethnicity, religion or belief, sex, age, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws.
