Our work can be seen across many of the top-selling titles on console and PC. We've secured an exciting AAA IP project and are anticipating further project announcements early in 2026. You'll get to work alongside seasoned developers bringing expertise from world-class AAA studios.\nAt Keywords Studios, we are looking for an accomplished, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Environment Artist to join our team working on an exciting, new, and unannounced project.\n This position may be offered as either a permanent or fixed-term contract role, depending on the project's requirements, business needs, and the candidate's experience and level. These opportunities can be located in either Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam (Remote), or Singapore (Onsite).\nOnly those with relevant working rights for Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Singapore will be considered. Sponsorship and relocation are not being offered as part of this package.\nWhat you will do:\nCreate high-quality environment art \nBuild, iterate, and optimise environments that support gameplay, narrative, and artistic direction.\nCollaborate closely with art direction, level design, and tech art to build performant and visually impressive worlds\nGood understanding of modular and kit-based approaches to environment art\nTroubleshoots issues related to performance, consistency, or technical constraints across platforms.\nContributes to visual benchmarks and helps establish best practices for environment art workflows.\nHas a good understanding of textures and materials and how to optimally create and apply them across an environment\nRequirements\nWhat you will need to be considered:\nProven experience as an Environment Artist (5+ years) on a shipped AAA or high-quality game project.\nStrong portfolio demonstrating environment art fundamentals and processes\nProficiency with modern game engines (Unreal, Unity or proprietary engines).\nLighting experience, has general understanding of lighting workflows (baking, performance impacts) \nExperience with PBR workflows and optimization for real-time environments.\nAbility to work collaboratively across disciplines and iterate quickly based on feedback.\nExperience profiling/debugging, or scripting for workflow automation.\nYou must have the appropriate working rights to live and work in Malaysia or Indonesia.
