Keywords Studios is an Irish company founded in 1998 that provides the outsourced services video game publishers need but rarely want to staff themselves, and it has grown into the largest such provider through more than sixty acquisitions. Its work covers game art and animation, co-development, functional and localisation testing, translation into dozens of languages, audio recording, player support and marketing services, delivered from studios across more than twenty countries. Headquartered in Dublin and taken private by EQT in 2024, it depends on the games industry's willingness to outsource, which makes publisher cost-cutting both an opportunity and a threat.
