As a Pharmaceutical Inventory Manager, you will support our client's Reference Standards Organization (CRSO) by ensuring the accuracy & integrity of over 1.5 million reference standard containers. This role is critical to maintaining global right-to-operate by managing inventory control processes, material movement, & disaster preparedness.\nThe Pharmaceutical Inventory Manager oversees the lifecycle of corporate reference standards used globally across laboratories. This includes sourcing, testing, certifying, & distributing these materials to ensure consistent quality in product development and manufacturing.\nThe Pharmaceutical Inventory Manager plays a key role in:\nManaging the end-to-end order fulfillment process for reference standards.\nEnsuring compliance with global regulations (e.g., FDA, DEA, DOT).\nProtecting intellectual property & sensitive data.\nSupporting inventory, dispensing, & documentation activities.\nMaintaining high standards of accuracy, efficiency, & regulatory compliance to meet global operational needs.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOverall ownership of the reference standard physical inventory (>1.5M containers, ~5000 inventory transactions annually)\nFirst point of contact for all issues related to the reference standard inventory\nProcess the receipt of incoming materials\nPerform and document a periodic physical inventory of all stored reference standard materials\nManage the Material Preservation Program\nMonitor and move inventory to optimize space and dispensing efficiency\nMaintain balance between main and disaster recovery storage\nCorrect inventory segregation monthly and submit appropriate batches for destruction\nEnsure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements\nMonitor pending shipments and ensure timely delivery to the dock\nProcess international/domestic orders and obtain necessary approvals\nInteract with global customers and maintain customer/agency data\nPrepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs), MSDS, & track order status\nCoordinate with shipping dock and external request approvers\nEnsure appropriate business processes are applied based on order type\nAssist in maintaining accurate inventory through compliant dispensing\nPerform second-person verification and dispense materials\nLabel/package materials and generate outbound shipping forms\nConduct quarterly SSS inventories & manage SSS documentation\nAssist in creating and maintaining guidance documents & SOPs\nOptimize processes and ensure documentation reflects current procedures\nMaintain clean workspaces and adequate stock of consumables\nAssist with reference standard fills & labelling as needed\nHelp customers comply with order requirements & resolve non-standard issues\nNotify CRSO of quality deviations & troubleshoot order issues\nIdentify customer trends & propose process improvements\nAssist in resolving customer complaints\nRequirements\nEducation Requirements:\nAssociates degree (in chemistry or related field) or equivalent pharmaceutical industry experience\nRequirements:\nSuperior attention to detail & problem-solving skills\nAbility to respond to changing priorities\nExperience with computers & software packages\nTeamwork & customer service-oriented mindset\nStrong oral and written communication skills\nSelf-motivated, flexible, & able to work independently\nClerical and laboratory experience helpful\nNo applicable drug allergies\nAble to accurately weigh materials with an analytical balance\nAble to stand for extended periods & work briefly in freezer conditions\nBenefits\nKeywords provides all its contingent workforce with:\nMedical, dental & vision benefits\nPaid time off (including sick & select holidays)\n401(k) enrollment with 3% employer matching\nWe are an equal opportunity employer & all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law\nRole Information: EN\nStudio: Keywords Studios\nLocation: Indianapolis, IN\nArea of Work: PIM\nService: CRSO\nEmployment Type: Contractor\nWorking Pattern: Full Time\nThis Organization Participates in E-Verify\nKeywords Studios is committed to fair & ethical hiring practices.
