This is a builder role: you'll help shape what we build and turn user needs into working software, from the first idea through production use. You'll join a small team of experienced engineers, working across the database, API, and interface, with support as you learn our tools and applications.\nHow we use AI\nWe use state-of-the-art AI tools, currently Codex and Claude, to implement, investigate, test, and review code. We work through user needs, product direction, architecture, and framework choices ourselves. You'll think through these decisions with the team and take responsibility for verifying the code you ship. What the role requires\nWe are looking for someone with strong experience in full-stack software development who can work independently in a remote setting. If you match most of our technical requirements rather than all of them, we still encourage you to apply.\nWhat you will do\nUnderstand who the users are, what they need to achieve, and how they will use the software. Turn that understanding into clear requirements and practical product decisions.\n\nBuild features across Postgres, APIs, and React interfaces using TypeScript and Python.\n\nDesign usable interfaces around real tasks and workflows. Prioritize clarity and ease of use over decorative visual polish.\n\nWork with data models, migrations, authentication, and permissions.\n\nImplement and test changes, investigate failures, and follow features through deployment and production use, with guidance from experienced engineers.\n\nOur stack\nFrontend: React, Vite, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.\n\nBackend and data: Python, Supabase, Postgres, and SQL.\n\nDevelopment and operations: Git/GitHub, CI/CD, Cloudflare, Debian, and the terminal.\n\nIn special cases: InfluxDB, RLS, Astro, TimescaleDB, Flutter, Grafana, and other tools depending on the project.\n\nWhat we are looking for\nPractical experience with TypeScript or JavaScript, React, and relational databases and SQL.\n\nAn understanding of APIs, authentication, permissions, and debugging. You can explain your decisions and work through unfamiliar problems.\n\nInterest in product development and user experience. You consider whether a solution fits its users and their work.\n\nComfort using AI development tools and critically reviewing their output.
