Ki has big ambitions but needs more excellent minds to challenge the status-quo and help it reach new horizons.\nWhere you come in?\nAs our new Digital Underwriting Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our operations, providing a seamless and comprehensive administrative service. You'll deliver an outstanding level of support to our brokers, internal teams, and service providers, helping us simplify complex processes, move quickly, and continue to sharpen London's edge.\nWhat you will be doing:\nUnderwriting\nUnderwriting e-placement - Check and bind risks on e-placement platforms\nUnderwriting referrals - Manage endorsements and required escalations to the portfolio management team when re-pricing is required\nClient audits - Following up with brokers for premiums and renewals\nCapacity - Establish and maintain knowledge of internal controls and all procedures relating to underwriting\nEvaluation and control - Processing and checking of data entry onto relevant systems\nQuery management - Monitor and handle queries from the Ki platform or via telephone in relation to both underwriting and general queries; seeking advice where required\nOperations\nMaintain and monitor the flow of work between underwriting teams and the service provider to ensure items are addressed in a timely and accurate manner\nMonitor and handle broker requests and queries via the Ki platform, including subjectivities of Ki’s quoted line, endorsements and claims\nIdentify and implement opportunities for streamlining underwriting activity, including increased automation or use of the service provider\nEnsure Standard Operating Procedures and User Guides accurately reflect current procedures\nHelp to facilitate and monitor any new activities that are transitioned out to the service provider\nAssist with the investigation and resolution of any data quality issues that are raised by TPU and other support teams\nAssist with the testing and roll out of new IT initiatives\nCompliance\nTriage sanctions-checking and raise relevant referrals to compliance (and identify potential areas to improve or increased automated-checking to reduce referrals)\nSample checking of electronically placed slips for compliance with pre-bind quality assurance (PBQA) and contract certainty standards\nMaintain awareness of regulatory impact and ensure underwriting activity is always within the guidelines\nMaintain the accuracy of all underwriting records and ensure quality of entries into Eclipse and other systems, as appropriate\nRequirements\nExperience of working within the insurance industry (preferably Underwriting or Operations preferred)\nKeen to identify and embrace new technologies and new ways of working\nCommercial awareness, with a knowledge of the insurance market and external changes which would impact on our business\nWilling to complete the ACII professional qualification\nA commitment to continuous learning or equivalent practical experience\nExcellent numeric, analytical, and written skills\nExcellent communication skills across multiple channels\nEffective prioritisation and organisational skills\nGood IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook\nBenefits\nYou’ll get a highly competitive remuneration and benefits package.
