Role Overview:
As a Technical Project Manager, you will serve as the strategic bridge between complex engineering requirements and high-level business objectives. You will lead cross-functional teams through the full software development lifecycle, ensuring that technical delivery aligns perfectly with organizational goals. In this capacity, you will engage directly with senior stakeholders, product owners, and engineering leads to navigate technical constraints while maintaining a relentless focus on customer value. Your work will directly influence the scalability of our platforms and the efficiency of our delivery pipelines, ensuring that we consistently meet aggressive market demands across our Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore hubs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Orchestrate large-scale PI planning sessions to align engineering efforts with long-term product roadmaps and business priorities.
- Define and track critical project milestones to ensure transparent progress reporting to executive leadership.
- Manage departmental budgeting and resource allocation to optimize operational costs while maintaining high-velocity output.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies to foster a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and agile excellence within development squads.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues before they impact delivery timelines or system stability.
- Oversee complex dependency management across distributed teams to prevent bottlenecks and ensure seamless integration of services.
- Direct end-to-end release management processes to ensure high-quality, stable deployments into production environments.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive data-backed decision-making and improve team productivity.
- Cultivate strong stakeholder management practices to maintain alignment on project scope, expectations, and evolving business needs.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams through complex project lifecycles, backed by 12 - 18 years of relevant experience in software delivery.
- Expert-level proficiency in Agile methodologies, with a proven track record of managing large-scale PI planning and cross-team synchronization.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and navigating conflicting priorities with diplomacy and clarity.
- Strong analytical mindset for managing budgets, tracking KPIs, and translating technical metrics into actionable business insights.
- Proven capability in managing cross-functional dependencies and mitigating systemic risks in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical challenges to non-technical audiences effectively.
- A degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or an MBA from a premier institute, is highly preferred to navigate the technical and business complexities of this role.
- High adaptability to a hybrid work environment, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively across our Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore office locations.
