Our goal is to make sure all children have the social, emotional, and academic skills they need to learn, grow and realize their potential.\nAbout The Role\nThe Associate Teacher assists the Teacher, Master Teacher, or Center Director and assumes responsibility for general supervision, development and education of children.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing \nAssists in planning, preparing and implementing daily program.\nAssists in planning and preparing the learning environment, and preparing needed materials and supplies.\nPerforms primary care giving responsibilities.\nDesired Results Process.\nAssists in maintaining the environment in a clean, safe manner.\nAssumes responsibility for regular parent communication, including parent conferences and chatters.\nSupervises Teacher Aides, Substitute Teachers and Volunteers as requested.\nAssumes responsibilities in absence of Teacher, Master Teacher, or Center Director.\nAssumes general responsibility for health, safety, and well-being of all children in the agency.\nPrepares written reports as directed.\nAttends meetings as requested.\nParticipates in activities that further own professional growth.\nMaintains confidentiality of children, families and employees.\nWorks as a member of the agency team by promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.\nGreets children, parents, staff, and guests as needed.\nAssists other centers when requested. \nAll other duties as assigned by Master Teacher or Center Director.\n Preferred qualifications\nUnexpired Associate Teacher Permit from the Department of Education required\n1 year prior experience in working with young children preferred.\n3 or 6 Infant/Toddler units to be an Infant/Toddler Associate Teacher required\nImmunization records that comply with Senate Bill 792 (immunity for measles, pertussis, and influenza)\nCPR/First Aid Training Certification required \n16 hours of health and safety training which includes 1 hour of nutrition training\nRequired to be a mandated abuse reporter\nCompensation\n$34.63—$34.63 USD\nAdditional Requirements\nMust pass a health screening and TB test \nMust pass background fingerprint clearance\nValid Driver License \nMust be 18 years or older \nThe ability to lift up to 30lbs may be needed during some job duties\nThe employee will be required to use hands for computer work, answering phone calls, etc.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions\nPerks\nAn opportunity to improve real lives, solve hard problems, and change the world\nFriendly, supportive, and adventurous environment with a team of engaged colleagues\nA comprehensive, industry-leading benefits package \nOpportunities to connect with and learn from colleagues and partners around the world\nDrug-Free Workplace\nWe believe every employee has the right to work in an environment that is free from all forms of unlawful discrimination.
