Working closely with Systems Engineering, Embedded Software, Product Management, Cybersecurity, Mechanical Engineering, Verification, Compliance, and Manufacturing teams, you will design and develop robust, reliable, and scalable hardware for Linux-based security products.\nYour work will directly influence platform architecture, processing capabilities, connectivity, cybersecurity, manufacturability, and long-term product evolution. The platform will support products designed to meet stringent security and certification requirements, including EN 50131 Grade 3 compliance for professional intrusion detection systems.\n\nRole Description\nExperienced hardware design professional, working independently on complex technical challenges.\nTranslates system requirements into production-ready electronic designs.\nParticipates in the architecture and design of a common platform supporting both Intrusion and Access Control product families.\nContributes to hardware architecture decisions involving processing platforms, memory architecture, connectivity, cybersecurity, power management, and system reliability.\nWorks throughout the complete product lifecycle, from concept and design through verification, certification, production, and sustaining.\nSupports the development of products designed to meet regulatory and certification requirements, including EN 50131 Grade 3.\nCollaborate closely with hardware, software, cybersecurity, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver reliable and secure products.\n\nResponsibilities\nDesign electronic hardware for Linux-based embedded security platforms.\nDefine and implement hardware architectures based on modern application processors and supporting microcontrollers.\nSelect and integrate critical system components including DDR/NAND memory, secure elements, communication interfaces, power management circuits.\nCreate schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer.\nPerform component selection, qualification, and lifecycle management activities.\nEvaluate alternative components to address EOL, PCN, supply chain, cost, and risk challenges.\nPerform signal integrity, power integrity, and circuit-level analysis as required.\nSupport Embedded Linux bring-up activities and hardware-software integration.\nExecute hardware debugging, verification, and root cause analysis.\nDevelop and execute prototype validation and qualification plans.\nParticipate in design reviews, technical risk assessments, and architecture discussions.\nEnsure hardware designs support compliance with applicable security and regulatory standards, including EN 50131 Grade 3 requirements.\nCollaborate with Verification, Compliance, and Certification teams to support qualification and certification activities.\nSupport manufacturing ramp-up, production transfer, and sustaining engineering activities.\nCollaborate with external design partners and component suppliers when required.\nPrepare and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and engineering guidelines.\n\nRequirements & Technical Skills\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in electronic product development.\nStrong experience designing mixed-signal electronic systems.\nExperience designing hardware for Embedded Linux platforms.\nPractical experience with processor-based designs utilizing: DDR memory, NAND Flash, high-speed interfaces.\nExperience creating schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer.\nStrong understanding of digital electronics and embedded hardware architectures.\nHands-on experience with hardware bring-up, debugging, and laboratory measurements.\nProficiency with engineering tools.\nExperience in component selection, qualification, and lifecycle management.\nAbility to independently analyze designs and propose robust, production-ready solutions.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nGood written and verbal English communication skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience designing hardware for security products, including Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Video Surveillance, or IoT solutions.\nExperience with products certified according to EN 50131 Grade 2 or Grade 3 requirements.\nFamiliarity with the certification process for professional intrusion detection systems.\nExperience with application processors from NXP, STMicroelectronics, Texas Instruments, Rockchip, or similar vendors.\nKnowledge of DDR memory design and high-speed PCB layout techniques.\nFamiliarity with Secure Boot, Secure Elements, TPMs, or other hardware cybersecurity technologies.\nExperience with communication technologies such as RS485, OSDP, BLE, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or cellular connectivity.\nUnderstanding of EMC/EMI design and regulatory compliance requirements.\nExperience supporting manufacturing and production transfer activities.\nExperience using Jira and Confluence.\n\nIdeal Candidate\nA hands-on hardware engineer who combines strong electronics design expertise with practical experience developing Embedded Linux platforms. The ideal candidate understands processor-based system design, memory architectures, connectivity, cybersecurity requirements, certification constraints, and manufacturing considerations.
