This role is responsible for understanding business challenges, gathering and translating requirements, defining KPIs and data definitions, and driving the delivery of analytics products that enable data-driven decision-making. This person will champion our mission to be data-driven by combining strong business acumen, analytical thinking, data literacy, and stakeholder management skills with a natural sense of curiosity to identify trends and uncover opportunities. The role partners closely with business leaders, data & analytics engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable reporting, analytics, and data solutions that meet business needs and create measurable value. while building a rewarding career at Kidde.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nPartner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities where data and analytics can improve decision-making and business performance.\nLead discovery sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews to gather requirements and translate business objectives into functional, reporting, and analytics solutions.\nDocument and maintain business processes, business rules, acceptance criteria, data definitions, and metadata to support governance and solution delivery.\nFacilitate alignment on KPIs, metric definitions, reporting standards, and business glossary requirements to ensure consistency across the organization.\nAnalyze business and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, root causes, and actionable recommendations that drive strategic decision-making.\nCollaborate with Data Engineers and business stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver scalable data and analytics products.\nValidate data quality, accuracy, consistency, completeness, and lineage across datasets, reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions, driving issue resolution when needed.\nServe as the primary liaison between business and technical teams by managing priorities, facilitating stakeholder alignment, communicating project status and risks, supporting user acceptance testing, driving adoption, and handling ad hoc analytics initiatives.\nAbility to prioritize work and key projects based on the needs of the team and the business\nAd-hoc requests/projects as needed.\n\nBasic Qualifications\n6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting data & analytics or BI initiatives\nExperience gathering and documenting business requirements for reporting and analytics and translating business needs into technical requirements\nProficient in SQL queries and working with relational databases.\nExperience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nSelf-starter with an ability to drive projects from initiation to completion.\nAdept at prioritizing work and key projects based on the needs of the team and the business.\nExperience working with Snowflake, ERP systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle, etc.), CRM platforms, and enterprise data warehouses.\nKnowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.\nExperience supporting Agile delivery teams.\nExperience in consumer products, manufacturing, supply chain, or commercial
