This role will manage the employee lifecycle from new-hire paperwork and benefit enrollment through termination, exit interviews and offboarding coordination. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for workplace policy and practices that will attract, grow, retain, and graduate Kiewit Luminarium talent.\nThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional who thrives as an HR team of one. In this highly hands-on onsite role, you’ll wear many hats, take full ownership of the organization’s HR function, and lead the employee experience from strategy through execution. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and making a meaningful impact on people and culture.\nEssential Functions\nLead mission-aligned, people-centered workplace policies and practices to attract, grow, and retain talented individuals as well as diverse teams that may include full time employees, part-time employees, and volunteers\nAdminister a suite of competitive employee benefit programs through new hire enrollment, qualifying life events, open enrollment, and employee benefit questions. \nPartner with brokers, carriers, and HR vendors, to manage plans, renewals, and benefit compliance and audits.\nEnsure HR-related compliance by staying abreast of legal changes, monitoring areas of potential liability, maintaining excellent records, and fulfilling employer requirements.\nManage employee relations matters, including complaints, conflicts, performance concerns, and workplace investigations while maintaining confidentiality and consistent practices. \nManage compensation records and processes, support salary benchmarking and compensation reviews, and provide recommendations related to pay, promotions, and internal equity.\nAdminister performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.\nPromote a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace culture.\nManage recruitment, hiring, and onboarding. \nPartner with the Finance team on payroll and benefit changes each pay period. \nBe goal-oriented and data-driven with regard to employee engagement, performance, and outcomes; learn from and educate others based on results, feedback and evaluation.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequirements\n Education & Experience Required\nBA/BS degree with 5+ years of progressive human resources experience, including advising senior leaders.\nHR certification (SHRM-CP/PHR) preferred.\nKnowledge of regulations, policy, HRIS technology, and employment practices.\nEnglish proficiency required; additional languages a plus.\n Skills Necessary\nAbility to make well-reasoned decisions and recommendations based on organizational goals, critical thinking, research, assessment (qualitative and quantitative), and analysis.\nStrong commitment to lifelong learning and to helping others achieve their potential.\nExcellent judgment and high integrity with regard to trust and confidentiality.\nSuperb coaching, communication, and conflict resolution skills.\nAbility to work well cross-functionally with multiple teams. \nWork Characteristics\nA strong work ethic and the ability to be a motivated, enthusiastic team player. \nWillingness to work irregular and long hours during events.\nWorking Conditions/Physical Requirements\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
