In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing safety equipment inventory, conducting regular safety inspections, and managing hazardous waste removal vendors. You will interact with various departments to deliver training in emergency response procedures and hazardous material handling, ensuring that all employees are equipped with the knowledge to work safely and effectively.\nAs the EHS Manager, you will also be responsible for monitoring environmental compliance and acting as the key liaison with regulatory agencies. You will alert the leadership team to any environmental health and safety risks, providing recommendations for corrective actions to prevent hazards and ensure a safe working environment.\nThe ideal candidate will have experience in the chemical manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plans (RMP). This position is integral to ensuring a safe and compliant workplace, protecting both the environment and the well-being of our team\nWhat You’ll Do\nSubject matter expert in EHS providing site specific technical guidance\nEstablishment and maintenance of site EHS objectives and targets\nRepresents EHS on site Leadership Team\nDevelopment and execution of tactical and strategic plans to improve EHS performance\nManage the EHS training program, including new hire, job-specific, contractor and required refresher training\nManage the site EHS Committee\nManage site EHS communications\nManage site incident and injury reporting, investigation, and recordkeeping\nAssist in the management of worker’s compensation claims and the site KIK Return to Work program\nWhat You’ll Bring\nBachelor's degree is required\n5 or more years of environmental, health and safety compliance experience in a manufacturing environment, chemical manufacturing would be preferred\nDetailed knowledge and understanding of federal, state/provincial and local EHS regulations is required\nExperience with Industrial wastewater and potable water systems, as well as the chemicals or consumer products industry a plus\nExperience with Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Management Plans (RMP) or E2 requirements is required\nExperience supervising employees is a plus\nSelf-driver focusing on continuous improvement\nAbility to collaborate, work beyond obstacles and build trust with impacted departments\nStrong organization skills and ability to prioritize workload based on impact and facility goals\nAbility to drive change by taking projects from proposal to implementation\nAbility to effectively supervise, coach, and mentor others\n24/7 Emergency Response: Serve as lead for Emergency Response Team and the point of contact for all EHS emergencies, ensuring rapid response and resolution to incidents at any time.\nWhat You Will Get\nKIK offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including health, wellness, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
