As one of North America’s largest independent manufacturers of consumer products, KIK helps a large portfolio of brands and retailers bring their products to life.\nYour Role at KIK\nThe Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager leads site EHS compliance, risk reduction, and continuous improvement for the Lake Charles operation. The role partners with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Human Resources, and site leadership to protect people and the environment; maintain regulatory compliance; strengthen emergency preparedness; and improve EHS performance.\nWhat You’ll Do\nServe as the site EHS subject-matter expert and represent EHS on the site Leadership Team, providing practical, site-specific technical guidance.\nEstablish, maintain, and report site EHS objectives, targets, leading indicators, and corrective-action performance; develop and execute tactical and strategic improvement plans.\nLead compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety requirements, company policies, permits, reporting obligations, and agency inspections.\nManage environmental programs, including hazardous waste, air emissions, industrial wastewater, potable water, stormwater, chemical inventory, spill prevention, and required records and reports, as applicable to the site.\nLead or coordinate process-safety activities for covered operations, including PSM and RMP compliance, process hazard analysis follow-up, management of change, pre-startup safety review participation, compliance audits, and action-item closure.\nManage the site EHS training program, including new-hire, job-specific, contractor, emergency-response, hazardous-material handling, and refresher training.\nLead incident and injury reporting, investigation, root-cause analysis, recordkeeping, corrective-action assignment, verification, and trend analysis.\nOversee operational safety programs, including contractor safety, lockout/tagout, confined space, hot work, permit-to-work, industrial hygiene, and field safety observations.\nLead the site EHS Committee and site EHS communications, building engagement and accountability across departments.\nMaintain emergency preparedness through drills, response plans, incident-command coordination, spill or release response, and coordination with external agencies and mutual-aid partners. Participate in site emergency response and/or serve as the designated primary escalation contact.\nSupport management of workers' compensation claims and the site return-to-work program in partnership with Human Resources and site leadership.\nSupervise, coach, and develop EHS personnel, contractors, and vendors as assigned; manage relevant EHS resources and service providers.\nLead site security programs, including access control, visitor and contractor management, perimeter protection, incident investigation, security-vendor oversight, and coordination with corporate security and local emergency-response agencies.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nFive or more years of progressively responsible EHS experience in chemical, petrochemical, refining, consumer-products chemical, or other process-manufacturing operations.\nBachelor's degree in environmental science, safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, or a related technical discipline required.\nWorking knowledge of applicable OSHA, EPA, state, and local EHS regulations and demonstrated ability to manage compliance programs and regulatory interactions.\nDemonstrated experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMP) requirements for covered processes, where applicable to the site.\nExperience with industrial wastewater and potable-water systems, hazardous-waste management, and environmental permitting or reporting preferred.\nExperience supervising employees or leading cross-functional teams preferred\nCSP, CIH, CHMM, or comparable EHS certification preferred.\nAbility to collaborate across functions, build trust, influence change, prioritize work based on risk and business impact, and take projects from proposal through implementation.\nPossess or be able to obtain within one year and maintain Louisiana Class I operator certifications in Water Production, Water Distribution, Wastewater Treatment, Wastewater Collection, and Water Treatment.\nStrong organizational, analytical, communication, coaching, and continuous-improvement skills.\n24/7 Emergency Response: Serve as lead for Emergency Response Team and the point of contact for all EHS emergencies, ensuring rapid response and resolution to incidents at any time.\nWhat You Will Get\nKIK offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including health, wellness, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
