build, and own integrations with third-party booking systems such as suppliers, booking platforms, and partner APIs, covering everything from modern REST/OAuth APIs to legacy SOAP services.\n\nArchitect the webhook ingestion and worker queue infrastructure that keeps bookings, availability, and status updates flowing reliably at scale.\n\nDesign database schemas in Supabase (PostgreSQL) that model complex booking data cleanly and hold up as volume grows.\n\nBuild sandbox and testing environments so integrations can be developed, validated, and debugged safely before they reach production.\n\nLoad test and harden services, finding bottlenecks and failure points before customers do.\n\nTake integrations from prototype to production: monitoring, alerting, retries, idempotency, and graceful handling of flaky third-party systems.\n\nMake sure credentials, tokens, and traveler data are handled securely across every integration.\n\nHelp evolve our TypeScript, Supabase, and TanStack MVP into a scalable, production-grade platform, and make key architectural decisions along the way.\n\nWork directly with the founder and early team to decide which integrations matter most for travelers and advisors, and ship them fast.\n\nSet the engineering standards, patterns, and practices that future developers will build on as the team grows.\n\nRequirements\n\nStrong software engineering fundamentals, with deep experience in Authentication & Identity and Backend Software Engineering (PostgreSQL, PHP/Laravel, Node.js/TypeScript).\n\nExpert-level understanding of API authentication across many integration styles, including: OAuth 2.0 (authorization code, client credentials, PKCE, refresh token rotation) and OIDC; SOAP APIs, including WS-Security, XML signatures and certificate-based authentication; REST API auth patterns such as API keys, HMAC request signing, JWT and mutual TLS.\n\nProven experience designing secure, scalable webhook systems: signature verification, idempotency, replay protection, deduplication, ordering, rate limiting and dead-letter handling.\n\nHands-on experience building asynchronous job processing with AWS SQS workers, Temporal workflows, or an equivalent durable execution or queue system, including retries, backoff and failure recovery.\n\nExperience integrating with a wide variety of third-party systems, including poorly documented or legacy APIs, and building abstractions that make new integrations faster to add.\n\nSecure handling of credentials and secrets at scale, such as token storage, encryption, rotation and per-tenant isolation.\n\nStrong TypeScript skills, as it is the team’s primary development language.\n\nSolid grasp of engineering best practices, automation and observability, using tools such as Datadog for monitoring and alerting on integration health.\n\nComfortable in an agile, collaborative environment, communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including external partners’ engineering teams.\n\nExperience leading technical initiatives, influencing architectural decisions or providing technical leadership across
