While working under the direct supervision of licensed journeyman or contractor plumbers, you will learn to install, modify, inspect, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures in gas, water, and drainage systems for single-family residential or multifamily housing. The purpose of your apprenticeship is to earn your journeyman license so you can then teach apprentice plumbers the trade. \nResponsibilities:\nLearn to inspect, install, modify, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures in gas, water, and drainage systems according to applicable Oklahoma plumbing codes and local municipal amendments.\nLearn to read blueprints and technical specifications.\nComplete quality control sheets and job site documentation accurately.\nAssist in managing job tasks to support project schedules and meet deadlines.\nLearn from and follow instructions provided by supervisors and licensed journeymen.\nLearn and perform required tasks across all phases of residential and commercial plumbing.\nQualifications:\nRegistration: Active registration (or eligibility to register) as a Plumbing Apprentice with the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board (CIB) upon hire.\nLeadership potential and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.\nAbility to produce quality work aligned with IPC standards.\nExcellent communication skills for interacting with builders, general contractors, and project managers.\nKnowledge of basic mechanical concepts, practices, and tool usage.\nAbility to follow direct safety and technical instructions.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nValid driver's license with a reliable means of transportation.\nStrong work ethic displayed daily.\nAbility to work 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend overtime as required.\n\nCore Physical Requirements\nLifting/Carrying: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects up to 50–75 lbs independently.\nMobility: Capacity for climbing ladders, crawling in tight spaces (attics/crawlspaces), and kneeling for extended periods.\nDexterity: Strong hand-eye coordination for precision work with small tools and components.\nStamina: Ability to stand/walk for 8–12 hour shifts in varying weather conditions or non-climate-controlled environments.\n*Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
