It starts with YOU.\nIn this role, you will be running technologically advanced, high-speed manufacturing equipment and collaborating with new or junior team members to do their best work safely.\nThe role of our Production Technician includes the following:\nSafety is our first priority. We require all Partners to work in a safe manner to consistently identify and correct unsafe acts and conditions. At times, this will include operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes\nUtilize problem solving and decision-making skills to establish proficiency in operating and making machine adjustments which are required to achieve and control high quality material standards.\nActively participant in a self-directed work team system which includes at times providing meaningful feedback to build participation and engagement with team members\nThe ability to document, account for and complete daily performance metrics in both verbal and written formats.\nFundamental Mechanical aptitude required to identify machine faults and variations in runtime stability. \nEnsure that quality tests are done correctly and in a timely manner, and documents are maintained as required. \nLed by Purpose. Driven by You.\nTo succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:\nBe 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.\nHave a state and/or US Department of Education accredited high school diploma, GED Grade 12 certificate.\nHave 1+ years of continuous work experience.\nHave basic computer knowledge, mechanical aptitude and good math skills.\nBe able to maintain a work schedule of 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.\nCan pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment drug + background screening.\nCan pass post-offer / pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT).\nAbility to work in a Team Based High Performance Work System\nProblem solving and decision-making skills\nMotivated self-starter\nLegal right to work in the United States\nBasic mechanical skills\nPreferred Qualifications:\n1+ years of experience in manufacturing; ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of experience\nPost secondary education/training (degrees, technical, military)\nMechanical skills; troubleshooting, disassembling equipment, parts replacement, general machine repair, gear boxes, couplings, drawings & schematics, bearings, pumps, or rigging\nExperience with high-speed manufacturing\nBasic understanding, support and execution of Continuous Improvement principles and tools\nPrevious Lift Truck Operator experience\nSAP knowledge\nTotal Benefits\nHere are just a few of the benefits you’d enjoy working in this role for Kimberly-Clark.
