It starts with YOU.\nIn one of our Engineering roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. Job responsibilities include:\nProviding process engineering support for the Beech Island Conventional Technology (CTEC) Tissue Machine assets for Kleenex® supporting daily performance across safety, quality, production, delivery, and cost.\nDriving improvements in Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) by improving machine speed, reducing waste, and minimizing delays.\nLeading structured problem solving and root-cause analysis to identify and resolve technical and manufacturing process issues.\nOptimizing tissue manufacturing processes by applying best practices, centerlines, digital metrics, and dashboards to improve and sustain performance.\nLeading and supporting product and process trials focused on product quality, performance improvement, cost reduction, and successful implementation.\nLeading continuous improvement planning, including Operating System activities, Tactical Improvement Plan (TIP) cycles, annual planning, and development of asset improvement metrics.\nLeading and supporting capital and major maintenance projects from initial concept through implementation and commercialization.\nCollaborating across operations, maintenance, engineering, Process, and Capital Execution teams while sharing technical expertise and supporting broader facility needs.\nTo succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:\nRequired Qualifications\nRequires a minimum of a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or Pulp & Paper Science or related disciplines from an accredited college or university.\n3+ years experience in an engineering role, which may include co-op or internship experience.\nA demonstrated ability to perform in cross-functional teams to achieve results. \nSelf-motivation to achieve results with minimal direction and follow-up.\nStrong organizational and time management skills - including daily, on-time, attendance and participation in morning Tier/Planning meetings.\nGood written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively with Operators, peer Engineers, and Leadership.\nExperience using manufacturing analysis tools, such as: statistical process control, design of experiments, process capability studies, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing.\nIncumbent should have the ability and schedule flexibility to work in a manufacturing environment with a 24/7 operation.\nIncumbent should be flexible to travel up to 15%\nPreferred Qualifications\nMultiple years of technical knowledge and expertise in tissue manufacturing and/or converting processes.\nStrong application skills with SEEQ, Power BI, PI Vision, ThingWorx and Plant Applications (manufacturing execution system).\n Experience working with external technical service providers.\nExperience with machine installations, checkouts, and startups.\nLed by Purpose. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience.
