This is not a remote position.\nResponsibilities\nResponsible for the development of design documents and reports, including designing low to medium voltage electrical layouts, equipment schematics and block diagrams, electrical system calculations, panel schedules, transformer sizing and one-line diagrams\nDaily interaction and collaboration on multi-disciplinary teams, with interaction across Kimley-Horn offices\nPrepare project specifications, electrical construction cost estimates, and proposals, supporting the growth of electrical engineering service areas in the local market and across the country\nExpected to assist in mentoring, training, and growing a team to expand our MEP, Development Services, Aviation and Electrical practices\nResponsible for the development of reports and design documents, including electrical design plans, equipment selection, and power analyses\nCoordinate with specialists for fire alarm, technology and lighting design as required by project scope of work\nCoordinate with architects, mechanical/plumbing engineers and other disciplines for equipment power needs and sizing electrical distribution\nQualifications\n4+ years experience in an Electrical Engineering role\nProfessional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering \nUnderstanding of the National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, IEEE and ANSI Standards\nWillingness to travel to support site visits and client meetings, as needed\nAbility to work in a team; both collaborating with and mentoring junior staff\nPreferred\nExperience in MEP, HVAC, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, microgrid, commercial-scale PV, lighting design, UPS systems, power and communication infrastructure designs, standby generator designs, water/wastewater designs\nExperience in engineering project management\nProficiency in Revit and Auto CAD and AGI32\nExperience in power system analysis using SKM, ETAP, or equivalent\nWhy Kimley-Horn?\nAt Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
