This is not a remote position.\nResponsibilities\nThe ideal candidate has had exposure to environmental laws and regulations including California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA), and/or the Clean Air Act, and a passion for applying sound scientific research and judgment to guide our clients through the environmental clearance and permitting process. This role will consist of preparing technical analyses in the fields of Air Quality, Energy, Noise, or Greenhouse Gas/Climate Change, utilizing state-of-the-art models, current scientific datasets, recognized guidelines and policies, and other relevant tools to solve some of the most pressing environmental needs of the day.\nAdditional responsibilities are:\nSolve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across teams to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.\nPrepare quantitative analysis with accuracy and precision to meet applicable scientific and legal standards.\nDevelop fluency with the federal, state, and local regulations related to air quality, greenhouse gas, and noise, as well as Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.\nCommunicate the methods and results of analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nConduct site visits, including field noise measurements.\nQualifications\nIn the process of receiving a Planning Degree (Bachelors or Masters) from an accredited program in of the following majors:City and Regional Planning \nUrban Planning\nEnvironmental Science\nPublic Health\nChemistry\nPhysics\nAtmospheric Science/Meteorology\n\nHourly Range: $29.00/hr - $30.00/hr\nWhy Kimley-Horn?\nAt Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
