This is not a remote position.\nResponsibilities\nUtilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze and produce deliverables for our clients.\nSolve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ requirements for the future built environment.\nDevelop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.\nPerform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various project tasks as required, such as dry-mechanical, wet-mechanical, plumbing/process systems. Tasks could include developing floor plans, flow diagrams, schedules, details and calculations such as pump head calculations, pipe sizing and distribution, and selection of equipment, etc.\nSupport our collaboration of multi-discipline Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing/process piping, Instrumentation & Controls, Telecom/Technology team specifically working on large scale Building Systems engineering designs.\nProject type will vary but may include Advanced Technology, Industrial, Micro-electronics, Mission Critical, Hospitals, Central Utility Plants and more\nManage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance\nThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projects\nYou will flourish on both building meaningful internal and external professional relationships\nQualifications\n4+ years of related experience\nRegistered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (or ability to obtain within 12 months)\nProven design experience with comfort and HVAC systems and related controls\nProven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas\nExperience mentoring and coordinating the work of EITs, designers, and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects\nAble to manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance\nStrong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability\nAbility to work individually or in a multi-discipline team\nSalary Range: $105,000 - $150,000\nWhy Kimley-Horn?\nAt Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
