This is not a remote position.\nResponsibilities\nSupport our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team specifically working on large scale projects\nLead the design and analysis of complex electrical systems for MEP projects\nResponsible for the development of design documents and reports, including electrical layouts, equipment schematics and block diagrams, electrical system calculations, and one-line diagrams\nDaily interaction and collaboration on multi-disciplinary teams, with interaction across Kimley-Horn offices\nPrepare project specifications, and proposals, supporting the growth of electrical engineering service areas in the local market and across the country\nExpected to assist in mentoring, training, and growing a team to expand our MEP practice\nResponsible for the development of reports and design documents, including electrical design plans, equipment selection, and power analyses\nCoordinate with specialists for fire alarm, technology and lighting design as required by project scope of work\nCoordinate with architects, mechanical/plumbing engineers and other disciplines for equipment power needs and sizing electrical distribution\nQualifications\n4+ years experience in an Electrical Engineering role\nProfessional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering \nUnderstanding of the National Electrical Code, IEEE and ANSI Standards, Fire Alarm Codes, Building and Energy Codes.\nWillingness to travel to support site visits and client meetings, as needed\nAbility to work in a team; both collaborating with and mentoring junior staff\nPreferred\nExperience in building and associated site power distribution systems. \nExperience in Fire Alarm systems.\nExperience in lighting controls and photometric calculations.\nExperience in engineering project management\nProficiency in Revit\nExperience in power system analysis using SKM, ETAP, or equivalent\nWhy Kimley-Horn?\nAt Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
