With operations spanning renewable and conventional generation, the organization provides its engineering professionals with the opportunity to work across a diverse and technically challenging asset portfolio.\nAbout the Position\nThe Electrical Engineer will join the corporate Electrical Engineering team and provide engineering support across the company's nationwide fleet of solar, wind, and thermal generating assets.\nThis role offers broad exposure to system protection, electrical safety, maintenance and reliability, NERC compliance, event diagnosis, restoration, development, and M&A activities.\nReporting to the Manager of Electrical Engineering, the Electrical Engineer will troubleshoot complex electrical events, perform power system studies, support regulatory compliance, review protection systems, and provide technical guidance to plant operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nDiagnose plant electrical events using relay records, COMTRADE files, and plant reports; identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.\nProvide technical support to operating sites during electrical events, including fault location and protective-relaying recommendations.\nDevelop and review relay settings, protection upgrades, and third-party protection and control designs.\nPerform short-circuit, load-flow, coordination, and arc-flash studies using ETAP or similar software.\nConduct arc-flash hazard analyses and support electrical safety and mitigation initiatives.\nReview switching, isolation, and LOTO procedures.\nSupport maintenance and reliability programs for transformers, breakers, substations, and electrical distribution systems.\nReview equipment maintenance and testing results and provide recommendations.\nSupport troubleshooting of transformers, relays, breakers, and other electrical equipment.\nPerform and support NERC PRC, MOD, and FAC compliance studies, testing, reporting, and audits.\nSupport NERC RFIs, self-certifications, periodic data submissions, and regulatory audits.\nProvide electrical engineering input for new development and M&A activities, including technical reviews and operational risk assessments.\nSupport root-cause analysis, risk assessment, engineering processes, procedures, and tools.\nProvide on-site support during outages and electrical events as needed.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.\n4+ years of relevant experience in power generation, transmission, and/or distribution.\nUtility-scale and renewable generation experience preferred.\nPE license preferred;
