The company has built a strong reputation for delivering quality steel projects and has experienced significant growth in recent years.\nWith a strong project pipeline and continued expansion, the company is adding to its project management team and offers the right professional an opportunity to take ownership of challenging projects while growing alongside the business.\nAbout the Position\nWe are seeking a Project Manager - Structural Steel to oversee structural steel projects from initial handoff through successful completion.\nThis role will work closely with clients, field leadership, vendors, fabricators, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate is organized, financially savvy, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while identifying and resolving issues before they impact project delivery.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage structural steel projects from handoff through completion\nReview drawings, specifications, contracts, and project scope\nCoordinate with clients, field leaders, vendors, fabricators, and subcontractors\nPlan and coordinate material, equipment, fabrication, and erection requirements\nMonitor project schedules, productivity, costs, billings, and overall progress\nPrepare financial cost projections and regular productivity analyses\nCoordinate fabrication and field erection activities\nIdentify project risks and resolve issues proactively\nMaintain strong client relationships throughout project execution\nEnsure projects remain aligned with contractual requirements, budgets, and schedules\nOversee multiple projects throughout the region as needed\nConduct periodic jobsite visits and support field teams throughout project execution\nRequirements\n3+ years of commercial construction project management experience\nStructural steel experience strongly preferred\nCandidates with strong project management experience in commercial general contracting or other specialty trades will also be considered\nFour-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field highly preferred; equivalent industry experience may be considered\nStrong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project scope\nExperience managing project budgets, costs, billings, and financial projections\nProficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite\nExperience with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) is a plus\nStrong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously\nWillingness to travel regionally for periodic jobsite visits\nBenefits\n $110,000-$150,000 base salary\nHealth insurance\nDental insurance\nVision insurance\n401(k) with company match\nPaid time off\nOpportunity to grow with an expanding structural steel contractor\nSignificant project ownership and career advancement potential","description_format":"text","description_chars":3050,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Dental insurance","Health insurance","Vision insurance"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-23T13:13:36Z"}],"liveness":{"score":52,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.516,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":29,"reasons":["conf:0","agency","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-09-24T05:03:22Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":150000,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/kimmel-associates-project-manager-structural-steel","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/kimmel-associates-project-manager-structural-steel.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-24T05:03:22Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers"}}
