About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager, Engineering in St. Louis, Missouri to lead the planning, design, and delivery of large-scale sports, parks, and civil site development projects.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this individual will provide senior-level technical oversight and quality control while serving as a key liaison between engineering, estimating, project management, sales, surveying, and field operations.

The Senior Project Manager will also represent the company with clients, municipalities, regulatory agencies, and public boards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of complex sports, parks, and civil infrastructure projects from concept through construction.
• Oversee grading, drainage, turf-base systems, and stormwater management design.
• Provide technical review, quality control, and constructability oversight for engineering deliverables.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable municipal, state, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage permitting and coordinate with municipalities, agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Serve as a primary engineering contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and public entities.
• Present technical information at client meetings, public hearings, and board meetings.
• Collaborate with estimating, project management, sales, surveying, and field teams to ensure designs are cost-effective and buildable.
• Provide engineering support throughout construction and ensure smooth handoff of design deliverables.
• Mentor and develop Civil Designers, Project Engineers, and Engineering Project Managers.
• Assist with departmental workload planning, resource allocation, and strategic initiatives.
• Provide hands-on engineering support when needed to resolve complex design challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, including project management or design leadership.
• PE license strongly preferred.
• Strong experience with civil site design, grading, drainage, and stormwater management.
• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of municipal and state engineering standards and permitting processes.
• Experience managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and client relationship skills.
• Ability to develop practical, constructible, and cost-effective designs.
• Sports facility and/or parks design experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel regularly to project sites and client, municipal, and agency meetings.
• Ability to work occasionally on active construction sites while following required safety procedures.
