You can work from home and be located anywhere in the US\nAbout the team\nThe Application Solution Architect is a senior role within Kinaxis’s Professional Services, Innovation and Data Science Services team. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Product, R&D, Data Services, and Professional Services to deliver end-to-end customer projects for Enterprise Scheduling and other advanced planning capabilities.\nIn this role, you will help customers solve complex supply chain challenges by designing scalable, high-quality solution architectures. This role requires deep supply chain domain expertise, including a strong understanding of how supply planning and detailed scheduling interact across the broader supply chain landscape. The architect must ensure these processes are designed cohesively so planning logic, material feasibility, capacity assumptions, and shop-floor scheduling work together seamlessly to support feasible and efficient operational execution.\nWhat you will do\nDefine and own the ES solution architecture-including functional design, data structures, constraint models, integrations, and system behavior-working in close partnership with the Solution Architect, where present, to ensure alignment with the overall end-to-end solution architecture. In ES-only implementations, serve as the primary solution architect for the engagement. \nFacilitate detailed scheduling blueprint sessions that translate manufacturing requirements into scalable configurations, defining heuristics, dispatch rules, look-ahead behavior, changeover logic, and constraint-resolution strategies for complex production environments.\nIdentify risks throughout the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful deployments.\nTroubleshoot complex scheduling behavior and resolve data configuration issues, providing root-cause analysis and recommending appropriate configuration patterns.\nProvide functional leadership and help to solve complex supply chain challenges and implementation support \nProvide mentorship and technical oversight to consultants and partners on solution quality, scheduling implementation methods, repeatable architecture patterns, and deployment best practices, while overseeing delegation of configuration tasks.\nCollaborate with Product teams on feature gaps, capability extensions, and areas requiring architectural guidance while influencing roadmap discussions through customer insights and solution best practices.\nSupport services sales opportunities by articulating solution approaches and value to stakeholders.\nWhat we are looking for\nBachelor's or master's degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Information Technology or related field.\nMinimum 8 years of broad experience in software implementation consulting in the supply chain planning or supply chain execution space, including 3+ years as a solution architect or lead functional consultant for enterprise-scale supply chain transformation projects. \nExcellent facilitation and communication skills; able to guide customer discussions across planners, schedulers, project teams, and stakeholders.\nDemonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, matrixed environments with strong initiative and leadership capabilities.\nAdvanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and guide teams toward deploying high-quality solutions that align with the intended architectural design.\nProven interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring skills within cross-functional teams.\nRole Specific Skills and experience\nSubject matter expert in supply chain concepts and best practices coupled with in-depth experience with supply chain solutions and scheduling applications (such as OMP, SAP PPDS, Blue Yonder, or o9 Production Scheduling). \nExperience producing detailed blueprints that translate scheduling requirements into technical specifications during software implementations.\nTechnical leadership experience in data integration, data management, system configuration and system deployment for supply chain software implementations.\nProficiency with SQL, JavaScript, or scripting languages used in solution configuration.\nWilling and able to travel between 50% to 75% annually \nWork With Impact: Our platform directly helps companies power the world’s supply chains.
