Field Operations Manager is responsible for the overall coordination and execution of HVST field operations, serving as the central point of accountability for personnel deployment, equipment utilization, client scheduling priorities, operational planning, and field execution across all service lines.\nServe as the central coordination point for all HVST field operations across Low Voltage, Medium Voltage, High Voltage, Transformer, and Grounding services.\nOwn the master resource schedule for the team of field engineers, technologists, and support personnel.\nBalance competing priorities, project schedules, equipment availability, and workforce assignments.\nManage utilization and readiness of specialized testing equipment, trailers, tools, field assets, and laboratory resources.\nAct as the primary escalation point for resource conflicts, schedule changes, and field execution issues.\nCoordinate closely with Project Managers, Technical Leads, Business Development, and clients.\nMonitor workload forecasts and identify future staffing, equipment, and capability requirements.\nSupport capital planning and business cases for new equipment, vehicles, technology, and staffing investments.\nSupport proposal development by providing execution strategies, resource planning, and equipment availability input.\nPerform other duties as required.\nPerformance and Leadership:\nLead and manage field operations personnel while maintaining strong visibility with field crews and office staff.\nEstablish priorities and make resource allocation decisions across multiple concurrent projects.\nDrive accountability for safety, quality, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction.\nLead continuous improvement initiatives focused on utilization, productivity, and operational consistency.\nBuild a high-performance culture focused on collaboration and problem solving.\nHealth, Safety, and Compliance:\n\nLead by example and ensure safe execution of work following all Kinectrics safety requirements and regulations.\nSupport driving a culture of right first time/safety first and that all engineering work is conducted in compliance with municipal, provincial, and federal safety, workplace, or environmental regulations that apply to the facility.\nEnsures quality of investigations to identify corrective action and non-recurrence.\nAccountable for supporting error free culture & staff behaviors by implementing human performance tools.\nFinancial:\n\nMaintain visibility by attending and actively participating in the planning and scheduling meetings, business reviews, forecasting etc.\nProvide timely project updates in compliance with all financial reporting requirements.\nContribute timely input to invoicing and collections processes.\nSupport management on budgeting, business planning and reporting as needed.\nCulture Development:\n\nDrive a culture of high performance and safety where everyone is committed to and accountable for delivery worker morale and corporate social responsibility.\nWhat You Need to Succeed\n\n10+ years of experience in electrical testing, commissioning, utility operations, EPCs, maintenance, or field services.\nExperience managing field personnel, resource schedules, and equipment fleets in a multi-project environment.\nStrong understanding of cable testing, switchgear, transformers, GIS, and other related utility assets.\nPrevious experience as a Field Service Manager, Operations Manager, Superintendent, Testing Supervisor, or similar role preferred.\nExtensive project management experience in a multidisciplinary environment.\nExperience in managing groups of professional and technical staff.\nStrong knowledge of health & safety requirements and quality assurance standards and practices.\nKey skills/Capabilities \nDemonstrated leadership ability among a team of individuals with diverse skill sets aligning them to exceed organizational goals.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated a high commitment to quality and delivering on client commitments, including experience in leading technical projects to successful conclusions.\nProven ability to successfully
