Many students return for additional co-op terms or transition into full-time roles.\nAbout the Position\nTerm: Summer 2027 \nDepartment : Bruce Sites and Projects (BSP)\nLocation: 393 University Avenue, Toronto, ON - Hybrid \nTerm Length : 14 months (May 2027 - June 2028)\n Discipline(s) Required: Computer Science, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, Electrical, Civil or Nuclear Engineering, Engineering Science, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent.\nYear of Study: 3rd & 4th year preferred\nSalary: The hourly rate for this position is $30 per hour.\nHow You Will Make an Impact\nThis opportunity involves responsibilities including but not limited to:\nInterfacing with project managers, planners, other engineering disciplines and our main clients.\nWith guidance, participating in the development and process improvement via automation of project management BI (Business Intelligence) reports. Typical projects may include:Managing and improving the weekly reporting systems for multiple portfolios of projects\nCreating new BI and automated reports to solve specific client requests involving multiple stakeholders’ input\nInterfacing with project managers stationed at the client’s site to assist them with automation and analysis of data\nUsing project management scheduling software to develop and track schedule progress\n\nWorking, as needed, with the Kinectrics and Bruce Power programming team to develop and improve in-house tools.\nParticipating in and recommending innovative projects and solutions to existing issues.\nWhat You Need to Succeed\nCurrently enrolled full-time in a post-secondary, undergraduate program requiring a co-op placement \nSound, fundamental knowledge of engineering and/or science principles\nStrong problem-solving skills and aptitude in project management\nExcellent written and oral communication, time management, and interpersonal skills\nBruce Power Site Access Security Clearance (asset, but not mandatory)\nStrong understanding of the following will also be an asset, but not mandatory:\nC#, Python, SQL, VBAs, React, .NET Core\nKnowledge of MS Excel, MS Access, and Visual Basic for Applications\nKnowledge of Primavera P6 or MS Project\nBasic understanding of MS PowerBI is an asset\nUnderstanding of Microsoft Azure and Azure Pipelines\nThe successful candidate will be required to undergo a security clearance process.
