Other elements may also include pay for performance programs (merit pay and discretionary annual performance bonuses), comprehensive health benefits and wellness programs, membership discounts, employee referral bonus, eligibility for our pension plan, career development programs, and professional development/educational reimbursements.\nAccountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact\nDesign, analyze, and maintain complex nuclear plant systems, equipment, tooling, and skid-based process systems.\nDevelop system architectures and technical specifications for maintenance, upgrades, and new installations.\nPerform system integration activities across mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and I&C systems.\nPrepare and execute test plans, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), commissioning activities, and system validation.\nSupport equipment selection, procurement engineering, supplier oversight, and vendor document reviews.\nConduct system performance assessments, reliability evaluations, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations.\nSupport plant maintenance, refurbishment, modernization, and outage projects.\nEnsure compliance with applicable nuclear codes, standards, quality requirements, and regulatory expectations (e.g., CNSC, CSA, ASME, IEEE).\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver engineering solutions.\nContribute to proposals, project planning, technical reports, continuous improvement initiatives, and R&D activities.\nOccasional support during plant outages, commissioning, or emergency response situations.\nCombination of office, laboratory, and nuclear plant site environments,\nWhat You Need to Succeed\nA Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and a minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience in the Nuclear industry.\nKnowledge of CANDU reactor technology and nuclear plant systems.\nExperience with process systems, skid-mounted equipment, or custom equipment design/build projects.\nFamiliarity with nuclear codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.\nExperience with digital I&C modernization, functional safety, or industrial cybersecurity.\nExperience managing suppliers, procurement activities, or manufacturing oversight.\nStrong systems thinking in highly complex, safety-critical environments.\nCommitment to nuclear safety culture, quality, and regulatory compliance.\nAbility to manage multidisciplinary engineering interfaces.\nEffective communication and stakeholder management skills.\nStrong customer focus and ability to manage multiple priorities.\nCollaborative, adaptable, and results-oriented approach.\nProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility in Ontario.\nAbility to successfully obtain and maintain a nuclear security site clearance\nThis role requires the successful candidate to complete the security clearance process.
