As a leader in the custom trailer manufacturing industry, we take pride in creating smart, efficient designs that meet the unique needs of every client, no matter how complex or specialized.\nIf you’re passionate about craftsmanship, thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and want to be part of something bold and growing, we’d love to meet you.\nAbout the Role\nKinetic Custom Trailers is seeking aProcess Improvement Specialist to help identify, investigate, and solve operational challenges across the organization.\nThis role is focused on understanding how work gets done - how information, materials, decisions, and responsibilities move through the organization - and identifying opportunities to make those processes more effective, consistent, scalable, and efficient.\nThe Business Process Improvement Specialist will work directly with employees, leaders, and cross-functional teams to understand challenges, investigate root causes, map current processes, design improved future-state processes, and help move improvement opportunities into implementation.\nThis position works closely with the Business Systems & Intelligence Analyst to ensure process improvements are supported by the right systems, information, reporting, and performance measures.\nWho You Are\nYou’re a curious, practical problem solver who wants to understand how work really gets done before deciding how it should improve. You’re comfortable asking questions, working across teams, digging into root causes, and turning complex challenges into clear, workable solutions that people can successfully put into practice.\nKey Responsibilities\nProcess Analysis & Improvement\nWork directly with departments to understand existing workflows, challenges, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies.\nConduct process diagnostics, observations, interviews, and workflow analysis.\nMap and document current-state processes to understand how work is actually being performed.\nIdentify root causes rather than addressing only symptoms.\nIdentify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, or eliminate unnecessary activities.\nDevelop practical future-state processes that improve efficiency, accountability, quality, and scalability.\nEvaluate how changes may impact other departments, processes, and systems.\nProblem Solving\nInvestigate operational challenges and recurring business problems.\nGather input from employees who perform and manage the work.\nUse structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis techniques to understand underlying issues.\nDevelop practical solutions and recommendations based on operational requirements.\nEvaluate potential solutions based on business impact, feasibility, resources, and implementation requirements.\nHelp determine whether challenges should be addressed through process changes, systems changes, training, clearer accountability, or other solutions.\nImprovement Project Development\nHelp turn identified improvement opportunities into defined projects and initiatives.\nEstablish the problem statement, objectives, scope, stakeholders, requirements, and intended outcomes of improvement initiatives.\nDevelop recommendations and implementation plans.\nCoordinate with the Business Systems & Intelligence Analyst where systems, data, automation, or reporting solutions are required.\nSupport prioritization of improvement opportunities based on organizational impact and capacity.\nImplementation & Change Support\nSupport departments through implementation of new or improved processes.\nCoordinate activities, responsibilities, decisions, and follow-up items.\nFacilitate cross-functional discussions and working sessions.\nSupport communication, training, and adoption activities.\nMonitor implementation and identify where additional adjustments may be required.\nHelp ensure improvements become sustainable operating practices rather than temporary changes.\nProcess Documentation & Standardization\nDevelop and maintain process maps, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and supporting documentation.\nEstablish clear ownership, responsibilities, decision points, and handoffs within processes.\nHelp create consistent process and documentation standards across the organization.\nEnsure critical operational knowledge is captured and accessible.\nSupport process governance and continuous improvement practices.\nRequired Qualifications\nPost-secondary education in Business, Operations Management, Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nExperience in process improvement, continuous improvement, operations, manufacturing, project coordination, or a related field.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nStrong organizational and project coordination skills.\nAbility to communicate effectively with both frontline employees and organizational leadership.\nDemonstrated ability to understand complex workflows and translate problems into practical solutions.\nPreferred (but not required):\nManufacturing or industrial environment experience.\nLean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or similar methodologies.\nProcess mapping and workflow design.\nRoot-cause analysis and structured problem solving.\nERP or business systems exposure.\nProject coordination or project management.\nSOP and work instruction development.\nChange management or implementation experience.\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive Pay: $70,000 - $90,000 annually, based on experience \nBenefits: Comprehensive benefits package, paid holidays and paid time off \nGrowth Opportunities: Continuing education and growth into specialized roles are encouraged. \nTeam Environment: Work in a collaborative, continuous improvement-focused production shop \nStability: Full-time, permanent position with consistent hours \nSchedule & Work Details\nHours: Full-time, 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday\nLocation: Penticton, BC - in office\nEnvironment: Industrial manufacturing environment, shop floor and office. \nJoin Kinetic Custom Trailers and be an essential part of shaping innovative solutions in trailer manufacturing.
