This role is 100% within a secure environment and requires an active NV2 Australian Government security clearance.\nThis is a hands-on engineering role with scope to influence network standards, hardening, resilience and tooling. You’ll make technical decisions, lead difficult fault investigations and act as an escalation point for engineers supporting the environment.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nDesign, configure, implement and support Cisco enterprise routing, switching, firewall and connectivity services across LAN, WAN and data-centre environments.\nBuild resilient network solutions using high-availability patterns, redundancy and capacity planning to protect performance and service uptime.\nHarden network infrastructure, remediate vulnerabilities and maintain secure configurations in line with technical standards and risk requirements.\nMaintain network diagrams, low-level designs, configuration standards, implementation plans and operational documentation.\nLead technical escalations, peer reviews and knowledge sharing, working with engineers, vendors and stakeholders to deliver supportable solutions.\nWhat we’re looking for:\nAustralian Citizenship and an active high level Australian Government security clearance (NV2).\nStrong hands-on experience designing, implementing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure across complex, highly available data-centre environments, including integration with Windows Server and Microsoft Active Directory services.\nDeep knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, routing protocols, switching, firewalls, NAT, VPNs and network segmentation.\nAdvanced troubleshooting skills using network monitoring platforms, logs, packet capture tools and structured root-cause analysis.\nPractical capability across network security, hardening, vulnerability remediation, change control and operational risk.\nABOUT KINETIC IT\nKinetic IT delivers secure, high-impact technology services across cyber security, cloud, digital infrastructure, intelligent workplace and IT service management.
