Join us and help shape the future of home improvement.\nThe role\nJunior IT Service Support Analysts (internally called Junior Operations Analysts) reside in the Command Centre, providing round the clock, dedicated Level 1/2 Infrastructure monitoring support for all of Kingfisher’s banners. This is a key role to the incident management process, responsible for accurately identifying and reporting any issues on live service applications.\nIn addition to monitoring, the JOAs are also responsible for performing initial problem determination and recovery prior to directing issues to the appropriate dedicated application and technology teams.\nThis is a brilliant opportunity with genuine development potential and the perfect role for a talented individual looking for an introduction into IT.\nPlease note that this role based at our Southampton office with a shift pattern of 12 hour shifts (24x7x365) over 15 days per month. Shift details can be seen below.\nA driving licence is preferable as you may be required to visit other sites.\nWhat's the job?\nTo work 12-hour shifts (24x7) managing IT services in accordance with Kingfisher operational policies and procedures. \nMonitor IT production services of the operating companies that form Kingfisher PLC.\nWork with experienced team members to develop business knowledge, key capabilities, and essential skills in readiness for promotion to next role.\nFix production incidents in accordance with agreed procedures and where necessary co-ordinate the resolution of more difficult incidents by working closely with technical support personnel.\nForm effective relationships with colleagues so implementation of additional Command Centre responsibilities is seamless. \nShift details:\n12 Hour shifts (24x7x365). Days 07-30 to 19-30. Nights 19-30 to 07:30Overtime opportunities due to holidays and shift absence and workload\nWhat you'll bring\nRequired Skills & Experience:\nAn IT related College/University qualification\nEmployment experience in IT and/or Retail would be beneficial.\nGood understanding of Microsoft tools, such as EXCEL/WORD \nPersonal Specification:\nGood general knowledge of IT software tools (EG: Microsoft Windows, MS Excel)\nExcellent communication skills - verbal and written. \nAbility to pick up new skills quickly. \nGood verbal and written communications skills\nCustomer focus \nSelf-motivated with ability to work effectively under pressure. \nAbility to work as part of a team \nGood organisational skills, attention to detail and good time management skills.\nHave a genuine interest in Retail and how customer needs are changing, particularly online\nReliable and conscientious \nQualifications\nExcellent GCSE grades, emphasis in English & Maths\nAn IT related qualification would be advantageous.\nHow We Work\nWe believe in flexibility and balance.
