In this role, you’ll help shape how we build a connected view of our customers, creating a strong customer DNA that can be activated across the business in partnership with our retail banners.\nPlease note that this role can be based from either Paddington or Southampton with an expectation of 12 days per month office attendance.\nWhat's the job?\nDevelop advanced customer analytics, using descriptive and predictive techniques to uncover insights, trends and growth opportunities.\nPartner with retail teams and key stakeholders to strengthen customer understanding and influence data-led decision-making.\nGenerate actionable customer insights that help shape customer strategy across digital and store channels.\nBuild automated reporting and self-service dashboards to provide clear, accessible customer and performance metrics.\nMeasure customer behaviour, engagement and profitability, evaluating performance against strategic objectives and project goals.\nCommunicate insights through compelling data storytelling, sharing recommendations and best practice to build a strong data-driven culture.\nWhat you'll bring\nEssential\nExtensive experience in customer analytics, with a specific focus on retail\nStrong commercial acumen and understanding of broader business principles, above all in Retail \nExcellent SQL skills and experience with dashboarding tools, preferably Power BI\nExcellent analytical skills with the ability to draw concise insights from large and disparate data sets (including customer, digital, marketing & transactional)\nAbility to provide compelling insights and recommendations and influence senior leaders. Confident in engaging in the business discussion and debate, not just providing numbers \nStrong presentation and communication skills (written and oral). Ability to convey complex issues in a simple manner\nDesirable\nEnd-to-end analytics experience, from understanding stakeholder requirements through to delivering actionable insights.\nExperience creating dashboards and data visualisations that support effective commercial decision-making.\nStrong customer analytics experience, including segmentation, lifetime value (LTV) modelling and behavioural analysis.\nExperience supporting Commercial and Product teams through basket, attachment and category-level customer analysis.\nStrong understanding of performance measurement and experimentation, including uplift, incrementality and control groups, with the ability to communicate findings through compelling data storytelling. \nHow We Work We believe in flexibility and balance.
