The role involves participating in research projects on the ethical and societal impacts of intelligent technologies as well as their application in practice. We’re seeking a specialist from the humanities or social sciences who cares about building trustworthy AI here in Slovakia.\nMain Responsibilities\nConducting research activities focused on addressing ethical and societal challenges in the research and development of intelligent technologies\n\nCollaboration with partners in both research and industry projects; leading and coordinating project tasks within national and European projects\n\nPreparation and facilitation of activities related to ethical design and ethics-based assessment of AI systems (such as expert workshops), both for internal research teams and external partners\n\nWriting articles, blog posts, and preparing seminars, podcasts, and other activities that help popularize artificial intelligence and intelligent technologies, with a focus on their ethical and societal impacts\n\nEmployee perks, benefits\nBesides the possibility of working in this very unique environment, we offer a 3rd pillar contribution, free Gym on the premises, Multisport card, lots of interesting internal seminars from our science teams and even more fun during our Institute´s festivities.\nRequirements\nResearch experience (3+ years) in the field of AI ethics, data ethics, ICT ethics, or some other related applied ethics\n\nPhD or equivalent doctoral-level education, ideally in a humanities-related field\n\nProficient in English and Slovak (recommended for industry collaborations)\n\nAbility to work independently as well as a leader of small team toward planned outcomes\n\nFacilitation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with the research and industry partners\n\nFlexibility, adaptability and the ability to work in applied research\n\nIndependence and initiative in problem-solving, with a proactive and constructive approach\n\nExperience outside academia is warmly welcome\n\nAbout our institute\nKInIT is an independent non-profit institute connecting industry to excellent science.
