{"id":2729581,"url":"https://alion.io/job/kinly-av-cover-technician","title":"AV Cover Technician","company":{"id":678492,"name":"Kinly","domain":"kinly.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/kinly","size_band":null,"is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Recruitee","truth_index":null},"role":"Field & Service","role_family":"Field & Service","seniority":null,"employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"explicit","locations":["London, United Kingdom"],"countries":["GB"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":34000,"max_usd":63000,"period":"year","method":"role_country_seniority_unknown","sample_n":1295},"experience_years_min":null,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Microsoft Teams","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-16T14:39:27Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-16","last_verified_at":"2026-10-23T13:27:08Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":7,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":7},"description":"Role: AV Cover Technician\nContract Type: Full-time, Permanent\nLocation: London, UK\nSalary: Flexible, (dependent on experience), plus company benefits\nInterview Process: 2 stage\nHours: Monday - Friday: 40 hours (shifts range between 7am - 7pm)\nKinly is a leading integrator of audio-visual and unified communications solutions, and the largest in Europe, serving as a globally trusted technology advisor to leading organisations.\nDue to an internal promotion, we now have an opportunity for a proven AV Technician to join our highly collaborative Cover Team, whose responsibilities are to cover our various client sites providing additional support.\nThis role gives you access to all our client contracts in the UK (mostly in London), and provides technicians with the opportunity to learn different tech/kit and set ups for different sites.\nSupport can vary from basic room checks, Business-as-usual support, to more complex events and auditorium support; so no day is the same and is an excellent opportunity to grow and develop as an AV Technician.\nKey responsibilities:\nProviding maintenance/technical support of Audio Visual and Video Conferencing equipment, Vision Mixing, Sound Mixing and Camera Operation with various systems at different Client’s offices onsite\n\nCovering the Onsite Technician’s holiday, sickness and absence leave.\n\nProviding AV/VC support to our clients, their staff and external clients\n\nSetting up, operating and maintaining AV/VC equipment\n\nSupporting meetings for Teams, Zoom and Webex etc\n\nAdapting to work as part of a permanent based AV team or working on a lone site independently\n\nAdapting to working on various Client sites which have different requirements and systems/programs\n\nSupporting end users as requested by the Client\n\nEvent support including set up and operation of PA systems, VC System, projection systems etc; which could be in small Event environments or full auditorium setups\n\nProviding Event Support to auditorium events utilising Sound Desk, Vision Mixing and Camera Operation skills\n\nSkills and experience:\nAbility to operate Video conference hardware (Microsoft teams, Skype, Cisco, Webex, Poly etc) and to troubleshoot any potential issues relating to audio feedback, no video etc\n\nProven experience in operating PA, projection and room control/booking systems (Crestron/AMX/ Crestron touch Panels etc)\n\nProven experience with digital mixing desks, vision mixers and camera controls\n\nMaturity, especially when under pressure and being able to maintain excellence in Customer Service with clients of all seniority levels\n\nExcellent organisational and time management skills.
