For more than 25 years, we have been designing, developing, integrating and supporting complex audiovisual solutions and businesses rely on us to deliver consistently secure and flexible meeting experiences.\nDue to further we have opportunities for experienced Field Engineers to join our talented team, to support the installation, troubleshooting, testing, and light commissioning of commercial audiovisual systems throughout the West Coast region.\nThis is a hands-on field position for a technically strong AV professional who can work independently, communicate clearly with project teams and customers, and help bring installed systems to a successful completion.\nKey Responsibilities:\nInstall, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot commercial AV systems at customer jobsites.\n\nRead and interpret AV line drawings, signal-flow diagrams, rack elevations, wiring schematics, and construction drawings.\n\nDiagnose system issues and isolate faults involving signal, control, audio, video, cabling, network-connected devices, or installation quality.\n\nPerform light commissioning activities, including device verification, system functionality checks, basic configuration validation, and punch-list closeout.\n\nUse appropriate AV test equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely and correctly.\n\nCoordinate with project managers, programmers, commissioning engineers, field leads, and customer contacts to resolve issues and maintain project progress.\n\nDocument jobsite conditions, completed work, outstanding issues, and recommended next steps through clear daily updates and field reports.\n\nIdentify scope gaps, drawing conflicts, missing equipment, or site-readiness concerns and escalate them promptly.\n\nProvide technical guidance and support to installers and junior field personnel when assigned.\n\nSkills & experience\nCommercial AV installation and field troubleshooting experience.\n\nWorking knowledge of integrated audio, video, control, conferencing, and display systems.\n\nAbility to read AV line drawings and construction drawings and apply them in the field.\n\nAbility to troubleshoot commercial AV systems methodically and communicate findings clearly.\n\nExperience with commercial AV control, DSP, conferencing, and networked AV platforms.\n\nAbility to work independently while coordinating effectively with a broader project team.\n\nValid driver’s license and ability to travel to jobsites as required.\n\nPreferred Qualifications (not essential)\nAVIXA CTS certification\n\nAVIXA CTS-I certification\n\nIf you are selected for interview, and need any reasonable adjustments made for your interview, please let the Talent Acquisition team know, at the point of scheduling.\nIf you do require details of the vacancy or the application process in an alternative format, please  your requirements.\nEqual Opportunities:\nKinly is committed to providing equal opportunities in employment, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to sex, age, gender identity, pregnancy, colour, race, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, religion or any other ‘protected characteristics.
