Upgrade projects\nTo provide a complete controls design solution for a material handling project including electrical design, software design and commissioning - whilst ensuring the solution meets the requirements of the project and is carried out within cost and time scale constraints\nTo maintain Dematic’s image as a top-quality, professional company, by adopting an honest, professional and attentive approach\nTo understand the constraints of working on live sites and provide solutions that minimise the disruptions to client operations whilst working within the project scope\nTo provide support, attend to system faults and perform investigation and fault rectification where necessary\nTo provide 24-hour x 7-day x 52-week emergency remote support cover as part of a pre-arranged rota\nTo perform site supervisory duties on projects when required\nTo support the sales team with controls costings and design concepts\nRecommending spare parts\nTo ensure a consistent approach across projects for electrical design, software design and commissioning activities\nTo take responsibility for controlling budgets and time constraints on projects\nTo hold controls design reviews\nTo assist in developing and maintaining departmental procedures and standards, promoting a continuous improvement culture\nElectrical Design:\nTo interpret design input information to produce control system designs\nProduction of all associated documentation including, but not limited to, design calculations, design/safety specifications, operation and maintenance manuals\nDesign and production of electrical layout and schematic drawings using appropriate CAD tools\nProcurement of electrical equipment including control panels and field devices\nLiaising with suppliers on technical matters\nProduce ITT’s and liaise with electrical installation supervisors and subcontractors\nQualifications & Experience:\nEducational background in Electrical/Controls Engineering as a minimum\nDesirable: Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline\nExperience in a similar role\nGood understanding of PLC, HMI, SCADA development and commissioning software\nHands-on experience with electrical commissioning.\nGood understanding of Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings\nGood understanding of bus systems\nUnderstanding of distributed control systems desirable not essential\nUnderstanding of automated warehouse desirable not essential\nAbility to travel to customer sites for up to 80% of the time, both domestically and internationally.\nFull driver’s license to support the travel requirements of the role.\nBachelor or Master degree in Engineering\nSpecial Conditions:\nRole will require 80% travel to customer sites within the EMEA European region including travel to other Dematic offices or facilities across Europe in the undertaking of
