KIPP Indy teachers are responsible for delivering rigorous instruction in Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus to produce strong student outcomes and understanding.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nPlan and deliver engaging lesson plans and curricula in alignment with state and school guidelines for Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus. \nDemonstrate a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and effective teaching strategies. \nRegularly track and analyze student data to inform instructional practices. \nMaintain an organized, inclusive, and focused classroom environment that fosters academic achievement. \nImplement school-wide and classroom management policies to create a positive learning atmosphere. \nEstablish strong communication with students’ families to support their success and build a positive school community. \nParticipate in school-wide events, family conferences, and professional collaboration with colleagues. \nUse formative assessments and data to make instructional decisions that promote academic growth. \nAdapt lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with IEPs and LIP students. \nEmbrace feedback and collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching practices. \nParticipate actively in ongoing coaching, observation and feedback cycles, team learning, and required professional development; implement feedback and agreed-upon action steps to strengthen instructional practice. \nEXPECTATIONS\nArrive at school by 8:10 a.m. \nAttend professional development, including summer onboarding. \nTrack and analyze student data regularly and attend team meetings. \nFulfill all expectations outlined in the KIPP Employee Handbook. \nCOMPETENCIES\nSkill in differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs. \nSensitivity to cultural diversity and ability to create inclusive learning environments. \nCommitment to access to high-quality educational opportunities and belief that all students can achieve. \nDemonstrates reliability, sound judgment, integrity, preparedness, and follow-through while meeting school and network expectations. \n Actively engages in coaching, seeks and incorporates feedback, reflects on practice, and applies learning from professional development to improve student outcomes. \n Valid Indiana teaching license or reciprocity process underway for a valid out-of-state license (required)\nBachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related field (required).\nMastery of Algebra content (required).\nMinimum of 2 years teaching experience in high school math (preferred).\nStrong record of helping students in underserved communities succeed (preferred).\nExpertise in using data to guide instruction (preferred).\nCommitment to the KIPP mission and the Indianapolis community (required).\nPass a criminal background check, as required by law (required).\n Licensed teacher starting at $50,000\nSalary is commensurate with experience and includes a highly competitive benefits package.
