This role manages budgeting processes, financial reporting, and audits, supervises the finance team, and works closely with the Executive Director and other senior leaders to support the organization's financial health and sustainability.\nFinancial Management and Reporting\nDevelop and manage the annual budget with district and school leaders.\nPrepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.\nMonitor cash flow, investments, and financial forecasts to ensure economic stability; maintain the chart of accounts and oversee general ledger activities.\nManage eFinance, AvidXchange, TimeClock Plus, and other third-party finance systems.\nCompliance, Reporting, and Audit Oversight\nEnsure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies, including GAAP/GASB/FASB and the Arkansas Financial Handbook. \nLead all audit season responsibilities, including internal control and fixed assets.\nCoordinate and oversee the preparation of tax filings, including Form 990.\nPrepare and submit required ADE Cycle Reports.\nImplement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.\nPayroll and Benefits Administration\nDevelop and enforce procurement policies and procedures.\nOversee the offer letter process and payroll calendar setup.\nOversee accounts payable and receivable functions.\nManage relationships with vendors and service providers, including contract negotiations and compliance.\nOversee accounts payable and receivable functions.\nTeam Leadership and Development\nTrain, supervise, and mentor the finance team; manage the accuracy of responsibilities, including payroll, AC/AP, and day-to-day productivity.\nFoster a culture of professional growth, high performance, continuous improvement, and accountability within the finance team.\nCollaborate with other departments to support organizational objectives and initiatives; respond to internal and external requests as needed.\n Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Master's preferred.\nMinimum of 5 years of financial management experience, preferably in the education or nonprofit sector.\nMust pass state and federal background checks, including fingerprinting and child maltreatment registry checks.\nMust participate in ongoing professional development as required by ADE.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and leadership skill.\nProficiency in financial software, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite.\nFamiliarity with fund accounting, grant management, and state and federal education funding regulations.\n District Director salaries will be based on individual experience and within the SY 2025-26 Salary Schedule range.\nKIPP Delta Public Schools is an equal opportunity employer.
