Responsibilities include accurate management of cases and timely communication with clients and attorneys.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES*:\nCase Management Obtain, review, and organize medical records\n Insurance coverage investigation\n Prepare, calculate, and maintain damage summaries including medical expenses, lost wages, and property damage\n Log daily mail\n Prepare and forward medical records to insurance carriers\n Draft correspondence necessary for case management\n Balance verifications and assist with subrogation lien resolution\n Prepare check requests, maintain check records, and mail checks\n Assist attorney with settlement documentation and disbursements\n Prepare disbursement summaries\n Prepare file for litigation transfer when necessary\n\nCommunication Consistent and regular communication with clients regarding case status\n Weekly reports\n Monthly team meetings\n\nProvide support for other team members in their absence\nMeet/exceed goals\nRegular, consistent, punctual attendance.\nOther duties as assigned.\n*Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nRequirements\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School Diploma or GED required\nTwo years of relevant work experience required\nPrefer Bachelor’s degree\nPrefer paralegal certificate\nKNOWLEDGE:\nHighly proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel\nLegal practices and procedures.\nBusiness practices.\nStandard clerical and general office administration procedures\nHigh command of English grammar, usage, punctuation, and spelling.\nUse of computers and related software applications.\nResearch procedures.\nProcedures for preparing legal documentation.\n WORK ENVIRONMENT\nThis job operates in a professional office environment.
