Publicly listed since 2004, KRG has nearly 60 years of experience in developing, constructing and operating real estate.\nJob Summary:\nThe Senior Systems & Security Engineer is responsible for leading the strategy, governance, architecture, and continuous improvement of Kite Realty Group’s infrastructure, cybersecurity, data protection, and emerging technology environments.\nThis position serves as a senior internal technology resource responsible for defining technical standards, guiding roadmaps, supporting secure and compliant operations, and providing governance over infrastructure and security-related initiatives. The role works closely with the company’s Managed Service Provider (MSP) and other technology partners to oversee implementation, operational support, and service delivery.\nJob Responsibilities:\nInfrastructure & Security Leadership \nDevelop and maintain enterprise infrastructure, network, and cybersecurity standards. \nDefine technology roadmaps and modernization initiatives. \nReview architecture, designs, and recommendations from the MSP and other technology partners. \nParticipate in disaster recovery, business continuity, and risk management planning. \nEvaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations aligned with business objectives. \nCybersecurity & Governance \nDevelop and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and security controls. \nLead security risk assessments, vulnerability remediation efforts, and incident response activities. \nSupport compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements. \nEstablish governance frameworks that protect company data and systems. \nData Governance & Information Protection \nLead Microsoft Purview and enterprise data governance initiatives. \nDevelop and maintain policies related to data classification, retention, information protection, and acceptable use. \nOversee Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Sensitivity Labels, Audit, eDiscovery, and Insider Risk Management programs. \nPartner with business leaders to reduce organizational data exposure and improve compliance. \nAI & Digital Workplace Innovation \nSupport the adoption and governance of Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled technologies. \nIdentify opportunities to improve business processes through automation and AI. \nAssist in developing Copilot agents and AI-powered workflows. \nEnsure AI solutions align with security, compliance, and data governance requirements. \nVendor & MSP Management \nServe as the primary technical liaison between KRG and the MSP. \nDefine technical standards, service expectations, and operational requirements. \nOversee implementation activities performed by technology partners. \nMaintain internal ownership of strategic technology decisions, architecture, security, and governance. \nQualifications\nJob Requirements:\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience. \n7+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies. \nStrong experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, Microsoft Defender, networking, and security technologies. \nExperience working with managed service providers and technology vendors. \nStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. \nAdditional Preferred Skills:\nMicrosoft Purview administration experience. \nExperience with DLP, Sensitivity Labels, Records Management, eDiscovery, Audit, and Insider Risk Management. \nMicrosoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, and AI governance experience. \nPowerShell and automation experience. \nRelevant Microsoft, Security+, CISSP, CISM, or similar certifications. \nBenefits: For all full-time roles, we provide progressive benefits in and out of the office including comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance; paid disability benefits and parental leave; paid life insurance and voluntary coverage options for additional life, accident, and critical illness insurance; 401(K) matching contributions; competitive paid time off, including Volunteer Time Off; flexible work arrangements; and tuition reimbursement assistance.
